If you think someone didnt do something that they should have done... why dont you just go ahead and... you know... do it?
You dont have to be Order leader to organize good RP and help other players enojy RP more.

Cause you'll end up with FR-5 if one of the leaders doesn't like you very much...

Two years in Order now...i seen many things,few leaders come and go...i do have some very interesting story's to tell...problem is-nobody is listening.
When i realized that i knew that i'll never be member of the Primary fleet...never really wanted to kiss anybody's behind...specially not "16 year old Admirals behind"...it's funny how all my Order friends have that same attitude...
Btw,are you aware that one of the "Rear admirals" joined Order just 6 month ago???...talking about skype leadership...
This is not first debate on this subject-i remember year and a half ago when Kelt was leader-same subject,same themes,same bad things spoken about "indies" by Order leaders...
Funny how most of those "indies" doing very well as "indies" in other faction,only in Order they are intolerable...?
Maybe they are like that cause Primary members are trying to make them play outside Order RP canon?...and while doing that enforcing some really big ego issues...

It's not true that Order can't have better leadership,truth is that same small group of people are choosing leaders between themselves using the same old criteria...there is no real change,only the names are changed.
We-TCG| have become independent from Order| and able to play Order as we think it should be played...but it costed us 2FR-5 and whole lota crap to acomplish that...
In the last few month i saw in Minor same complains from Secondary fleet like it was year and a half ago...same old story...new leadership-same problems...
Please don't get me wrong on this-i have all respect for organizing and leading faction-group of players...we were doing it from screach in TCG|(and in some other groups we play) and i know what it's like specially with such large number of players,but 2-3-4 people just can't decide everything for everybody and involve some very nasty ego-problems in that and metagaming and power-gaming and other crap...
One does not educate people by telling them what to, leader must be example for everybody.All good leaders care about opinion of the people they lead.
Order is one of the few factions who has really open RP,it allows you to do pretty much anything(within RP canon),there is no need to be restricted like it is now,no need to be "the most boring "faction in Disco.
I think that's the main reason why is so many sub-groups in Order and why Indies are not happy with their status and leadership....btw,we never had any problems with indies-if you talk to them with respect they listen and obey,accept advices...

Why is 6 months not enough? It is a lot of time for a game and I personally find it more important that people are motivated to do things.

Stabbing the Corsairs in the back was probably a bad move, though I probably would say that, wouldn't I?

Seems to me that the Order went through a comprehensive program of trying to shut doors and open new ones in terms of diplomacy, and the "shutting doors" effort has gone allot better than the effort to open them.

When you're in an isolated corner of the universe, and your only neighbours consist of Nomads, LSF and Hunters that want to kill you, and the Corsairs who wouldn't mind if you were dead, your only convenient activity is getting shot at, so is it any wonder that your main member pool will end up consisting of lolwhuts looking for a fight? Good RP-focused members get demoralised and leave. PVP-focused lolwhuts arive to replace them, and after a short while you're left wondering what the hell happened to your faction.

I speak from 4 years of personal experience as leader amongst the Corsairs; the Corsairs have always been surrounded by pvp-obsessed enemies, and so our indy-pool has historically been considered the worst group of lolwhuts around.
Since reorganising Order's diplomacy, Minor has become even more of a boxing ring, and with the coolest capships around, I'm not surprised the Order ID is the ID of choice for lolwhuts.

Also we have more ossies than anytjing elsd. Lot of peps just know the Order as capwhore faction.

I think one good step to solve the oorp fest is to give Order id More restrictions

I liked part one and part two better, Anon. 8-| Still, I'll talk to admin Joe, he frend, he gief Terorwrist ID for you 8-|



On a serious note - I haven't seen much of the Order|, only a few scout missions inside Rheinland. I can't really judge if you're okay or not.
