Lets crunch some numbers here.

Nomad Turret: 20000 Hull Damage, 10000 shield damage.
Marduk: 15 turrets.
SNAC: 132000 Hull damage, 66000 shield damage.

15 x 20000 x 1.00 speed = Two SNAC shots every second.

You say the nomad ships aren't stronger. In fact, the nomad ships and weaponry are the strongest in the game, equaling or beating codename weaponry. Their LF is the only LF with class 10s, and is a high-power killing machine. Their gunboat is a powerhouse, as well as the cruiser and battleship. The Marduk is capable of shredding ships that cross it without a second thought. So yes. The nomad ships -are- as powerful as they seem. The reputation is built on experience.

Again the real problem I see with this....

Activity is one thing. Yes, it would be interesting to see more nomads. I'll admit that.

But, we all know newer players don't understand so much about this server, it would only DIMINISH the RP experience.

If nomads had been open use when I started, I likely would have made one of them my first characters, then I would have had an ageira IFFed nomad with tizonas flying through new york screaming w00tsticks!

Activity aside, this is a BAD IDEA.

Keepers have open recruitment, perhaps those who like this idea should take a half a day to read the Nomad lore, and apply for the keepers.

More keepers would make everyone happy, and it wouldn't ruin my immersion.

This mod already took a hit with the mining changes (anyone been to dublin lately? It went from one of the most interesting systems to one of the most boring overnite), and this would only drive more people away.

Before Omicron CAUVIII'd the Sajuuk, a Marduk raped it within seconds of exiting Iota.

Im sorry, they are powerful.

Thier ID&RP are essentially terrorists with strict RP and best ships around.

CAUVIII jinkusu vs CAUVIII Marduk MIGHT be an even match.

BUT.

There are not many Marduks.

Lets keep them rare please.

ok so you like numbers.
then lets put energy, hardpoints angles and all aside and just calculate numbers :rolleyes:

Cerberus Battleship Turret: 12000 hull, 6000 shield damage. 2.00 refire rate
Jinkusu: 16 turrets

16x24000: 384000 dmg / second (marduk 300000/sec)


max hull:

Marduk: 5.360.000 at 1700 bats/bots
Jinkusu: 6.000.000 at 2100 bats/bots


so much for the numbers....


reality looks different and a full equipped jinku can beat a full equipped marduk and vice versa.

I think this guy already explained everything. The ones who call everyone idiots shouldn't ignore this message.

Marduk Power Core= 9,000,000
Marduk Recharge per sec= 300,000u/s
Marduk Power Drain per salvo, minutes recharge= 487500
Number of salvos fired per full core =18(.5)
Total damage for whole core: 14175000
Time it takes to recharge: 30 seconds.

Some more stats for you there.
Oh, not to mention the tried-and-tested method which states: Jinkusu is impossible to miss, mortars are dodgable.
