Again, truth be told I couldn't care less, I'm just stating facts here. The fight itself was enjoyable, so a big thimbs up for that.

Equipment rules on hunters have been scrapped with Dave's departure.

People will always find a reason to QQ. Dave tried improving the faction in a way to avoid negative feedback, but with all the negative feedback taken into account when trying to fix things, things broke. Hunters were nerfed to normal levels, he got aggravated and there were raids every day.

We are going to try working on giving our hunters, the people who go out and kill humans, the means to do so, and inspire fear that way. We are going to stop raiding all the time and concentrate on a deeper RP aspect in regards to hunters, to try and balance that out.

We have made the decision though, that when **** needs to be raped, **** will get raped. That is what hunters are meant to do. (Hunters are the ones who go out and attack things, do all other sorts of nastiness, and thus of the 113th a reason to exist, as well as throwing suspicion away from them.)

@Lobster

So.

The Order has something to shoot now?

Besides Bunter/BNG fleets?

Awesome.

Meh, I didnt want Dave to quit.

He owed me a rematch.

Most likely you will, but they will not be hunters. Hunters from now on are going to start focusing on kusari.

Some things are still being worked out, this is one of them, so I shall refrain from spilling too many beans. All I can say is that I hope everyone who interact with us will enjoy the things to come. We are here to have fun after all.

Amen.

I'll look forward to it.

If you ever pop by Minor or Bretonia that is.

Nobody really answered chopper's question..

If you have an overlook over the gear this faction is using:

Ships (those most numerous):
Katanas - best VHF in kusari, a bit better than Chimaera in all but powerplant (doesn't matter much if you use better guns)

KNF GBs - best GB in kusari
(seen only these, no other gb)

KNF destroyer - best cruiser in kusari
(seen 1 of these, no other cruiser)

Guns:

Nomad Lasers
- best guns in game, the most used 4.00 one is better at damage/efficency than any other fast gun, 2nd best in damage only (behind phantom Lamia), no disadvantage vs any shieldtype (i.e. no defense)
invisible models (cause they are part of the nomads themselves), no hitbox so the ship has smaller profile

Inferno - Outcast gun
Easiest way to get from defensive to offensive in a fighter fight without any risk involved (compared with mini), great against capships.

Nomad GB turrets - made for Nomad Gunboat
- change the Kusari GB from very good ship to overpowered one, made for nomad GB that is big and has limited firing arcs

=> PvP advantages involved with all the listed equipment
Is it really surprising that it's hard to believe the RP reasons behind all that? Even harder when they are not presented.

=======================================================

How can it happen that the equipment/combination is overpowered? Isn't it you Mjolnir that should have made sure things aren't overpowered?

- there were no kusari wild at the time these guns and ships were added/balanced
- Inferno (and Krakens) on BD ships was regarded as problematic inn 4.84 as well and adressed by removing the discovery-added alliance between Outcasts and Blood Dragons
- the Rheinland Wild were allowed to get official and to exist after declaring that no more than 50% of their guns will be nomad (nomad doesn't necessarily mean keeper btw.)

- when AoI were started later (between 4.85 updates) this re-commitment was again promised (and kept for quite a while) by Exile

Most likely yes, so no reason to use better equipment? Specially not when it doesn't look like the first choice RP-wise.
The better pilot doesn't need it.
Enemy pilots won't complain.
Everyone happy

I've only seen three Iseijin Katanas.

Everyone else uses Chimaeras.

Would you like me to beat you in a Chimaera with Flashpoints and Debilitators? Will I be RPing my Wilde correctly then?

Quote tag was getting messed up, so I've used indented italics to quote.

"What is the reasoning behind using Blood Dragon equipment?
Tekagi's followers were, as far as I remember, infected KNF. And Dragons were the ones who fought them." - Chopper
Original Remnants of Tekagi are Ex-KNF, true. But both nomad infected groups (Das Wilde and Aoi Iseijin) try to increase their influence over their ZoI by infecting as much people they can from every side of the fight. Iseijin has BD, GC, Hog & GMG infectees just like Das Wilde has LWB & Hessian infectees and were also working on a Corsair infectee who got lazy and dropped out, so it never happened.

"As far as I am concerned, you should use Chimaeras instead of Katanas on your infected ships, that'd make a lot more sense.
When you add Infernos and Nomad lasers on top of that, you get pretty much something no faction should -EVER- have." - Chopper
Each character uses a ship based on its background. The Katanas you see are Ex-Dragon, I personally have a hunter character flying Chimeara, who is an ex-113th. None of KNF infectees fly Katanas or vice versa, Dragon infectees flying Chimmies.

As for the math for equipment balance, refer to the bold part in the end of my post.

"If that is indeed true, how come there are no infected GC, AFA, Hogosha or GMG?
Also, I'v only seen 113th flying Chimaeras. Every other Kusari Wilde I'v seen was in Katana." - Chopper
113th are a KNF division set up to counter nomad activity in upper kusari, who were later infected themselves and formed the majority of "undercover" infectees. However, there are undercover chars in other factions as well, who fly untagged ships with that faction's ID and only the leader of those factions are ooRPly aware of th fact that those characters are infected.

On the other hand, there are hunters from each faction in Kusari, not just BD. My own hunter, Shugotenshi, is an ex-KNF, flying a Chimaera. Rin Masaki, Jansen's infected character, flying a Blossom, was a GC Elder before being infected. Kuro, Kanga's Hunter is an Ex-Hogosha flying a Black Dragon. Ramirez, a shared ship from Iseijin's early days is an SRPed Ex-Outcast Scimitar. Boss also has a Ex-GMG hunter, Fujiwara Michiyo, flying a Kaichou bomber... Want me to count more? Because most definitely I can.

So, with all due respect, please get your facts straight before coming in and throwing false statements to criticize the faction.

---
Now, to all the people who complain about the loadouts we use:

Let's do a simple math, and compare the "omg imba!!!" Full Nomad-Inferno Katana to one of the most spammed ships ingame: Full Kraken-Inferno Sabre.

Sabre has 7 forward firing slots, plus a 11k core. Krakens do 556 damage per shot on 4.00 refire, and use 504 EPS. Means a full Kraken Sabre can keep a constant fire for about 4 seconds, dealing 15,568 damage.

Katana has 6 forward firing slots, plus a 10k core. Also, note that it can mount only 4 Kl.10 nomad weapons, and the other 2 have to be Kl.9 nomad guns if we want to get the highest hull damage output. So, Kl. 10 refire 4.00 nomad guns do 590 per shot, while using 480 EPS, and Kl.9 refire 4.00s do 475 damage per shot, using 384 EPS, which means a Katana can hold constant fire for also roughly 4 seconds, dealing a total of 13,240 damage.
Now... I mean no disrespect, but I honestly don't see what's there to cry about.

Mjolnir... I respect you for all you've done for this community, but what I'm gonna say might sound bitter to you, so you should note that this is in no way official stance of Iseijin over this matter, but rather my personal opinion as a player part of this community:

Your "PvP Glory" days are over I'm afraid... When you die to a Flashpoint Sabre in your Torp Agama, it's not because "Only if torps would've tracked..." (the way you put it back then), it's just because you haven't played the actual game for so long you're no longer one of the best PvPers on server.

Iseijin how ever, has some of the best PvPers on disco. If they go on raids and "rape everything", it's not because of the gear they use, it's because of the skill level they've achieved through hours and hours of practice. They could do just the same in Flashpoint Eagles, and I've actually seen them do that during the "Liberty's Finest" days. So... I'm afraid if you don't like this situation, the logical move would be finding a "better" community, not trying to downgrade their tech so they'd be at the same performance level as a 5-month-old newbie.

FYI, I'm not sayin this to "save my precious OP tech" as I neither have an Iseijin Katana, nor use Nomad weapons on Any of my Iseijin ships (Apart from Singularity Cannon on my Hunter bomber, which has the same stats as regular SN). Be sure if the same people flying Iseijin Katanoms now, start flying Codie Werewolfs for a month around Liberty, people will start crying about Werewolf being OP as <yeah>.

And again, let me repeat myself, the last part was in no way official stance of Iseijin, but my personal view as a player.

When using flashpoints there's no issue with creating gun+ship combinations that were never meant to be used together and are therefore not balanced. So there's no reason for me to complain about it as a balance leader.
It seems a bit strange as a first choice for AoI characters, but still a fully valid one. Just like Liberty Navy using flashpoints might be a bit strange, but doesn't create issues.

The most obvious equipment is more than easy enough to find

Tekagis arch...aka main AoI base, ex KNF base

ships for sale:
Chimaera
KNF Bomber
Scorpion done - ehh well a bit of a bug

Kusari guns for sale:

Disinfectors
Sunfrenzys

Hybrid guns that fit with kusari guns:

Nomad Energy Blaster
Nomad Energy Cannon

==========================

Chopper's question still stands.... what is the RP reason for using those listed overpowered gun/ship combinations over the more obvious not overpowered ones?

Maybe adding another one:
What is the reason for removing the 2 guns per ship rule that Rheinland Wilde as well as AoI first started with?
