Aerelm don't see any RP reason for using Nomad Lasers over Nomad Blasters in your post.

Exile created AoI and then during faction approval process was reminded of the restrictions that allowed Wilde to start and included them.

As to freelancers using whatever they can get their hands on... it's a significant problem.

EDIT: Also, I could tell you about the time I got shot by 2 solie ossies, 1 bomber, and 3 fighters with me in a civilian arrow (I was sitting still and died instantly).. but I wouldn't want to bore you.

Just so we are clear, except the full nom gunboat, I think that every other loadout is okay. However, everyone has a ton of enemies, and everyone has to face those same NPCs. Example, if I take my Mando to Rheinland, everything is hostile. Do I deserve a special candy for the occasion?

If you have an overlook over the gear this faction is using:

Ships (those most numerous):
Katanas - best VHF in kusari, a bit better than Chimaera in all but powerplant (doesn't matter much if you use better guns)

The Chimaera has a lot more armor than the Katana with similar size and a little less speed but enough to keep up with any Katana pilot without issues.

The Katana is worse in combat than the Chimaera because a Chimaera has 4x Class 10 slots which means it can mount 2.0 Codenames with a Mini-Razor which can shotgun any Katana (since it has armor level approximately equal to an Eagle). A pilot with a solid aim has a higher chance to win against a Katana than against a Chimaera if the choice was available. Because the former ship can get instakilled with the proper setup that is available only to the Chimaera.

In other words, I have no idea what you are talking about.

Sure, go and do your thing in Werewolfs.
No one with sane mind would complain about that.
However, Katana is the best VHF in game.
Also, gun points on Katana are completely different then on a Sabre.
In a 'easier to aim' manner.

I don't really care if your members can kill me in a gunless starflier, that's not what it's all about.
I die to a good Sabre/Guardian on daily basis and I never complain about it.
There's one of your guys who flies a Katana but keeps Daitos on it, and uses mini-razor instead of Inferno. And I don't have anything against that.

Fact is you shouldn't be using Katanas in the first place, and you use them combined with Infernos and Nomad Lasers.
Even if you have the best pilots around, I'd still call it dirty.

You can have all the GMG stuff lying around, but I'v never seen it in space, and thus can't speak about it.
And how come you are not obliged to use max two Nomad weapons per ship, but the Order is?

Actually, Katana can mount 4 codes too. And no, doesn't die to a shotgun.
And it's much faster, but Mjolnir can fill you on that one better then I can.

The Isejin never agreed to limit the guns, from what Boss says Das Wilde never agreed to limits. Now, since 4.86 is not here yet, what do you want to accomplish here?

Igor is right. Just balance the omnom guns properly. That way they can use how many they want and no one can qew qew about it. Everybody wins :laugh:

Yes it does die to a shotgun because I have accomplished that myself with 4x Heimdalls, 2x Disinfectors and a MR on a chimaera. Although the Katana can use 4x Codenames, it cannot support that with its weak powerplant.

Katana is not the best VHF ingame, it is the Sabre because it has more firepower, better strafe mechanics to shield-run to absolute ridiculous levels and more versatility overall.

Katana natural hull level = 10400
With 2.5 = 26000

Chimeara loadout:

Heimdall Codename (1390 hull) x 4
Disinfector 3 (520 hull) x 2
Mini Razor (19400 hull)

Total hull damage: 26000

Results: Shotgun instakill

If you really want above hull treshold just replace one Heimdall with an Archangel.

No, it's not proving my argument invalid, because Chimaeras are your most obvious choice.

I am not convinced by your 'arguments'.
If you are infecting so much Dragons, how come you don't infect a Dragon gunboat or Dragon destroyer?
Or some Kusari Explorer for that matter?
Or are you picky and you infect only the best ships?
