I seriously fear the possibility of <strike>lolwuts</strike> less than qualified players would go around abusing the SCRA and turning it into a "Die capitalist swine!" - *Blue message* faction.
On the other hand, it would be nice to open up the SCRA, it would allow more players to join and thus it will produce more roleplay opportunities since we would see them more often.
But seeing as the official SCRA members will still be around, I know they should be able to do a decent job moderating the non-official SCRA players. I trust that this won't turn out into a pew fest.
I dont post much on the forums, but am an avid indy RP'er. I try to abide by player faction rules relating to the NPC faction i am part of- for example my hessian gunboat will always follow the guidelines for the RHA as best as possible.
Personally, i'm really looking forward to this, I love the omega warzone and this will only make things more interesting, so long as a draconian ZOI is not put into place. Look out for CPW-Ash and CPW-Smoke storm gunships, Recon and interception unit!
One thing i would like to see though; in the same way in which Gallic tech works on a different system (fuel and armament wise), I would like to see a bit of variation in weapons for the Coalition, given the importance a startup command gives to a faction; particularly i'd like to see variation the gunships. I would love to be able to have some kind of salvo missile system, for the storm gunship, given its appearance, and how light it is.
I'm not really that well informed about Coalition rp but what's a coalition player to do when he cant go to the Sigmas, TAUs, Omicrons, Liberty and Gamma? Nor can he pirate or attack (most) pirates.
Someone fill me in? a SCRA for dummies would be nice
(on a side note, since sairs are so unhappy bout action- why not just give em Isis-like lm-chainfiring battleship on Crete's orbit??? everyone will be happy... sry for offtopic.)
Dash: Taus aren't on the list, but... I guess guerilla warfare against house authorities?
