Ok now on another server when you look in chat. It shows people in "Liberty" "rheinland" "Kusari" and so on, instead of NY or NB or NT and so on.

So pole is. Would you like this implemented in Discovery?

I think it is great myself so a Pirate cannot camp for example Cali TL to NY when he see's a miner coming from Cortez, and so on.

Would be an interesting implementation. Though let's take it a step further.

You can only see where allies are, as in no more camping the chat screen as an omnipotent scout ship.

Not everybody plays in liberty. And it's quite empty even with player list.

No. It stops people from being able to find each other.

Talk to them?

Give the Scanners a new and better use? As in, the higher the scanner 'quality' the further it can scan into neighboring systems so it reveals what system the user is in? Friend or foe?

Hmm, I actually like that idea. :) Scout ship RP would be vastly boosted.

No, that's far slower than looking at the player list.

Though isn't it degrading to RP that we can see where EVERYONE is at any given moment?

Not in the slightest.

This was implemented on Flak. I hated it. IIRC, I deleted the file that did it.

I think gameplay is more important then RP here.

Even though RP is a part of Gameplay
But I like to interact with people more then just flying around trying to find people while there ain't even people around.
