You asked me to tell you my opinion. This conversation will be beween you and me, I don't find a reason to be made in this thread. You want via pms? Fine.
' Wrote:Why in skype? Read your exaggerated reply and you will find out.
Also, I don't think you are currently "okay" for such kind of discussion, you're just looking for someone to argue with. I won't participate. However, my invitation still stands.
' Wrote:So, if someone wants to make a suggestion on how to work this out fine, but I wont respond to any more comments oorp about the action that Kusari did take in these situations.
Edit: Just to be clear, that was not directed at Friday.
That is okay - I dont consider the embargos themselves to be unjustified - just some of the economic claims that were made (by both Kusari and Liberty).
Edit: And are people looking for RP solutions, OORP solutions or both? I can present a range of scenarios and possible solutions. Bear in mind the situation is still somewhat fluid in terms of events in the Sigmas.

I have been asking for other peoples ideas since this whole thing started. I am not looking for a fight, I am looking for ideas, but it seems everyone wants to be the guy throwing the stones, not the one willing to have the stones thrown at them.

Both. I would like to get people enjoying playing in Kusari, including traders, while still remaining true to the rp of Kusari and of Jien Kogen.

No, that's not true. I am willing to help/suggest since you asked for it. However, I am currently busy, so right after I return from Istanbul, my suggestions/ideas will be in your inbox. Goodnight.
Oh darn it, eventually these OOC threads were bound to show up.
For the record for those in the Kusari Korner, Friday has only just recently returned to Disco. He's been away for awhile and away from GMG| even longer. The other thread and the bump in this thread were done by him outside of the GMG| membership. But when I woke up this morning a couple hours after the two most recent threads got active we were quick to pull him back into GMG|.
Naturally, heheh, he's getting just as busy with any detail he finds questionable in our chat right now as he is being brought up to speed on what's happened in the year or so he's been out of GMG|.
I'd like to also formally say that yes it was me and GMG| that made an aggressive maneouvre against Kusari because it is GMG RP to do so (particularly since they hijacked Hog RP and openly fly Artifacts through our space). I also knew that going through with the aspect of GMG RP that allows us to get fully unlawful with Samura would also, without question, lead to a Kusari invasion of GMG. So I saved it for two long years later after we've already played to our hearts content the other aspects of GMG RP (You remember, killing Hogs, keeping House military like KNF out of out space) all of which also previously brought a fleet to our doorstep as well, heheh.
So yes, the attacks on Samura and the RP attempt to claim Kurile is real. Since current Kusari is making the formal declaration that Samura's backwoods cabin is also Kusari State then it is their right to invade GMG space and call us the invaders (even though we don't actually have to go anywhere, part of the joy why I chose Kurile, there is an oxymoron in it somewhere.). I assure you there is no OORP hatred over the war coming from us and our side. None. Whatever bickering, postering, roster shuffling, secret alliance and OORP stress you seem to think is happening is clearly only happening on the one side of the fence. Almost no one but myself and 4 others are privvy to the OOC talks and discussions I have behind the scenes concerning the next tactic thrown GMG|s way. I keep my members completely seperated from the OOC filth, gunk , garbage that grows from these situations. Instead I copy paste the latest hate PM or Skype talk into my council chat and we discuss how the trivial matter will be dismissed with a casual sweep of my hand.
I'm not a big fan of OOC solutions to in-game ongoing RP problems and yet oddly enough I am such a great lover of forum PvP, go figure  Still despite the open corner waiting to be filled in this square circle I'm of the mindset that it isn't necessary and this new hostility between GMG and the Samura controlled Kusari State (an important significant detail btw for those who pay attention to Vanilla lore and developing cannon lore as opposed to the opinion of the loudest person in a chatroom) should still procede forward. I'll say it openly, going for Kurile is intentional and with purpose, I don't intend to relent. For those with comments like West made in this thread or the other who seems to have the minority opinion that the GMG NPC group shoulda been overun by Rheinland and oughta be overun by Kusari with the mere mention of words: It'll be easier for you to stick to forum PvP (where I will engage you willingly) if you find the in-game results of your military ships getting blown out of GMG space not consistant with your views.

Nope, the ill will is not coming from the GMG. I have always enjoyed playing against the GMG because it is always so much rp and so little oorp nonsense. The anger toward me is coming mainly from Liberty based traders, who start threads like this and complain about thier trade routes.

Whoops, sorry, did kinda get a bit of an impression there but I also noticed a coincidence in what you said which appears to be a source of misinformation to my side of the fence. I shall have to turn up my "read responsibly" dial another notch to avoid a third party looking to create division.

I suppose it's because you don't want to hear the only realistic option available to you. Many countries have to take foreign relations developments on the chin, so what makes you different? I'll tell you: It's that you can pick and choose what to percieve, what not to, and justify it all to yourself. This does apply to me as much as anyone else, but it's no fun if you don't at least feel like you can lose if you don't play your cards right. It's not so much of a question of what you can do, but what you can't do. Luckily, because you can do anything here, so can everyone else...
Short of that, you could've traded a similar amount of stuff between Kusari and Rheinland. I would've had splitters on my LN and hornvipers on my KNF, and everyone would've been happy. As it stands, I understand that avenue was not really on the cards.
Everybody likes to be in a position to escalate things as close to war without actually going to war. People push and bend the circumstances so they feel in justifying what they're doing, which is fair enough. But when you go too far, and people can choose to participate or not, those who hold the view that you're being silly are no longer going to participate. It's like responding to a powerplay. How on earth do you do it, without powerplaying yourself? Not that I suggest that it is powerplay, everyone is within their rights to do what they've done. The only -real- problem here has been the lack of immediate and severe consequences.
To be honest with you, diplomacy has never been my preferred solution, as I've said. I've willed Joe many times to smash this faction or rear-end that group, and you should be thanking him for flat-out rejecting the idea of open confrontation, otherwise you really would be in the drink (from an RP perspective).

I will personally kick the behind of any Liberty faction trader who is complaining ooRP. Unfortunately indies are out of reach on this matter.
While it is true that I made a very loud ooRP groan when my best trade route was severed, I keep that kind of thing solely in skype and don't let it affect my RP decisions. (Some who know me, know I like to vent in group chats.)
Zelot, there is a RP message waiting for you somewhere in Communication from me, Janus can probably link you to it. If you've got time a reply would be nice, but I can wait.
