No, we're not looking to move hosts at the moment. The people we are with are pretty good and very cheap for what we get.
If we had a fair bit of money we would rent a second server - either a large VPS or a low end dedicated box and move the forum onto it.
I'm reluctant to use more of our donations unless we really have to. At the moment we have enough money to fund around 7 months of operation and I don't want to use this any faster than necessary.
With lots of money we'd move to dedicated or co-located hosting at a good ddos protected data center specialising in game hosting. This would cost at least 300-400 euro/month. I don't think there is any danger of this happening.

Ping is normal again, Lag and Loss are still the same though. Is there something I can do to try and fix it? Perhaps there's something under services I can restart?
I suggest twitter for giving out information when the forums are down.
My hosting company does that for example, and also many other, twitter is kinda made for that. (And yes, there is a discovery account already :> )

Naa ... CNN, BBC ... that's the way to inform people:D
But serious now. An email notification might be the better alternative, because EVERYONE needs to have an email account as far as I remember, right?;)
And since the outages are not THAT often, it won't create a flood of mails.
