The shiploss was too radical. This is acceptable. Still don't care if it gets implemented or not, but if it did, I wouldn't mind at all.

i think the level needs to be toned down a bit, with 40% being the lowest. This hurts those who wish to RP caps, and barely hurts those in snubcraft. Capital ship repair costs of all equipment 10% would be about 5-10 million per each time, and considering how easily they are dispatched, i can see this being used abusivly by bomber swarms, since the truth of the matter is the capital ships defences are useless at best unless you come point blank or dont pay attention.

Why not just make it so you cannot use your ship for 24 hrs?

For the same reason mentioned above, i really doubt you want to be locked out of a ship after 10 minutes of play becuase some bomber or fighter or other swarm decides to go on a killing spree.

I have better things to do with my free time then trading to pay for repairs if someone manages to destroy my ship. So a 'no'. I'd say being not allowed to go to that system for 4 hours is enough of a punishment.

If you cannot afford 5-10 mil in repairs do not use a dread. Also i own a dread,and it has died 2 times only this year. If you are getting killed so often in a BS then you do not know how to use one. Their is such a thing as fleeing to a base. After all if not seen you can always come back now.

Also as for "only" caps paying alot for repairs? Ever fly a snub with SNAC's,or cheetaa's? I have,and it has cost me more then my dread a few times.

This Idea is great.Makes more sense then Instantly new ships after a huge fight.

I would not like to have to save up to fly my caps. I am a capwhore and do fly my caps, mostly cruisers, about 80% of the time I play. Bombah gank squads are way to common for this to be even at least somewhat fun.

Everyone assumes that us cap pilots are only here to pew pew fighters and such. Which is hardly the case. Most of us are out there to either RP or fight other caps, a rare event that just brings joy to me.

We fight fighters/bombers/GS and other small ships because we are usually cornered and have to on almost every time out the gate.

Novas are use by a freaking ton of bombers, however you have to understand that capital missiles are a heck of a lot more dangerous to equipment then them. A BS can really wipe out your stuff quickly in an engagement if it chain fires missiles at 2k.

That stuff is hard to replace, despite costs, if you are operating any distance from home and you are still dealing with guys in bombers looking for an easy cap kill while you are just going from point a to point b. (Hessians have a long way to fly sometimes to get to patrol areas)

Final point is not everyone has access to Conn and do training in guard systems where you get real fights every once in a while.

i say no. Why? Because you know how much to refill when u have Reinforced CD and Nova? 1m. Enough.

I like the general concept.

I'd tone it down to a maximum of about 50 % damage. If you log on that character again, you will notice: "Oops, the ship was shot up last time". But still it would not be that bad (I only know damage bills up to gunboat though, I have to admit)
