example a liberty cap lns- does it have to have this ?

No it's not required.

Err ... it does not need to have the LNS tag (in this example), but it certainly makes more sense inRP namingwise.

eh.. no.

I suggest you read up on rules and background info. Foreign warships can't run around Sirius like go go karts.

LNS- (the liberty indie caps) have no business in the Omicrons, let alone Omicron gamma. Just as the HMS- (bret caps) don't barge into Rheinland to shoot Hessians.

And yeah, I know that Freelancer is not based on reality. But roleplay behaviour is.

I'm not quite sure about other naming conventions requirements but I thought that using a LNS- has been made InRP obligatory some time ago, correct me if I'm wrong. After all I'd suggest you to put LNS, RNC, HMS, MNS etc. infront of your ship's name anyways. It's RP.

It is not required. You can put every tag you want on it, as long as it's not, for example, [LN] or tags that don't make -any- sense inRP and so on, for example My.Little.Pony-<Name of the ship>. You get my point.

It is required, but they won't do jack all to you if you don't.
