What should VPS do to encourage players to join?

In recent months VPS has stagnated for a varity of reasons. One thing I have been wanting to have over those past few months is new members. My main reason behind that was to be able to allow other members more flexability, allowing them to spend more time in other factions, RL issues, and other hobbies. And also to bring fresh perspective's to the Faction. However we have not been able to do so.

So I am asking the community for there opinions that can help Venator Private Security actively expand.

More concentrated roleplay. VPS, as an security company, has to have a,certain standing with the lawfuls and unlawfuls. <strike>VPS has a info page, right? Bump it,abd link it in your sig. That can bring up activity too.</strike> Sadly, I have only seen three,VPS really. (Mostly your Zephyr, Fedi Defensor)

I've recall meeting a single VPS member in the past weeks. And that was before the change to mining.
So, more activity would be a good start. And, as mentioned before, get out of Bretonia. It's empty like hell.

I have been telling my members not to just sit in Bretionia. That was when the issues started with the mining mod right on the same day.

We already help any player who can't afford a ship, mostly via loans. We also have a ship holding a couple Armour sets, CD's, and Mine despensors, for ease of access for new members. A few of our members also have spare characters they no longer use, all of whom are very willing to give those chars out.

Sorry that there is a capitol ship called Venator. It is no way named after it. We used it becuase of its actual meaning, not becuase it looked fanciful.

All of the choices. Don't just make yourselves stick to one direction. Branch off and do whatever seem like the most fun given your RP. Activity as always a good thing, and getting new diplomacy is also quite fun.

Well that's a hard question, you're good I still stand behind that as I met you lot of times.

Maybe start collecting bounties (are you doing that ? I have no idea).

Attracting new players is never easy, especially when there is stagnation on whole server, can't say much more.

i did enquire about this faction, but i got no response (seems to happen with alot of factions??? maybe im goin about it wrong). its a great concept, but i can see alot about bretonia being dead now, great for starting players like me to get some credits through trading, but not so great for a security force?

free ships is a big pointer. people like myself would need one. dont have to be great, a mid range VHF or bomber, just to get started and then payback credits in time.
