Sue me.
Well my honest congrats. I do the same round this strange place/game Believe me or not I saw a ton of "faction" players who done much more **** then the indies...

Without indies Liberty wouldn't have a capital fleet.
But really, indies are cool. As long as they aren't those damn lolwuts, they tend to be more active than some of the official factions. And most of the more engaged indies check the forum and the RP going on so that they know what treaties are active etc.

That is the first and only time I've agreed with something you've said. Must be one of the signs of the coming apocalypse or something...
But, there's good and bad in everything. Some indies are excellent, but sometimes the lack of restraint can cause them to act in a way which is illogical, poor roleplay, or has a negative effect on people who're attempting to play the faction in a sane way.
I just put that down to lack of knowlege, but it's really only a small proportion of people who do that.
Factionalised players tend not to... Because, like it or not, their leadership tends to be very knowlegable about the faction they lead, and pass that knowlege down to their members.

Ha... Yes it would. The reason the [LN] never flies caps, is because there are 3098742983764082763482764 of them already floating around, and it would be inconsiderate of us to do so.

What Spazzydragon said.
When I stop having fun, I get off the server so I don't accidentally stop other people from having fun.
Without indies the sirius sector would be Nomad slaves. Plain and simple. It used to be that most indy's were the lolwuters, but that was mainly as previously stated they didn't know what was going on. If they stay here long, most of them clean up and become members of the community.
Now there are many people that prefer Indy because the Factions have long since taken side turns from what the original faction stood for or fought for, due to RP and such. Its a fact, that even I have a hard time accepting at times, but its true. The RP and players that play a faction, an official one also make it hell sometimes to be an indy.
As said also before there is good and bad in everything.
Whats bad about Indy? Getting bullied and screwed with because you have an idea for some RP YOU want to play, that the GAME has set up and available, Hell thats the reason its HERE, and the 'Almighty Faction' comes along and says because you aren't 'one of us' you can't.... That is the worst part of being Indy.
I left a couple years back for a very similar reason. the simple fact that I love the game, and the mod made me return, and I'll stay this time, no matter how many 'pissing contests' people want to have with me. I'll piss as an indy. And proudly.
Indies are equally important as official faction members. On both sides there are those who make their "group" look good/bad.
There are indies whose RP (or lack of) is such terrible that it makes me wanna instantly join officials (I never did after all). But the door swings both ways. Yes, it's true that many get caught up in the same, boring patterns as being a part of some faction but lets not neglect how many indies are out there which have no character nor individuality whatsoever. And that's what being indie is all about.
Nothing wrong with Indies, Hone, as a faction leader who doesn't even like the Faction Rights you won't ever find me trying to force any form of RP on an Indie. Never have, never will even if they somehow twist it into a faction responsibility to force RP on others. Beside you said you gave up your GMG ID because you didn't want KNF to shoot you, so now Cannon said KNF can't shoot you, yet now that it is the way you want you don't like it
