' Wrote:... not sure how much more hostile you can get then to have a red KuDread staring down at you. And can you give me one reason why the Bret government would intervene on your behalf, given that it's revealed the Junkers have been for a very long time doing information gathering for what is now their worst enemy?
Here's some options though:
- Brets ordering the Nagumo to move away a bit (5K), citing it's erratic firing pattern is a hazard to Stokes. (Would solve the getting blown up while undocking, although dessy patrols would remain a potential issue).
- Brets asking/demanding Kogen to stand down from attacking the junkers. Kogen may or may not accept this.
- Brets deciding the junkers are more trouble then they're worth, and close Trafalgar, declaring them personas non gratas. In essence siding fully with Kogen on the junker matter and evicting them from Bretonia alltogether. Which would get the unlawfuls stirring probably:)
But that's all stuff for RP threads - and once the RP takes proper shape, the devs can act on it.
Perhaps many would feel more inclined to RP if there were more simple solutions to the problem than being outlawed for speaking up, such as a cease fire in Bretonia space but everywhere else Exiles and Junkers are fair game for each other.
' Wrote:Fix the bug, it makes no sense. Neutral but can't dock is one fix - but kinda ignores some role play. Perhaps look at making it so that Bretonian NPCs don't shoot people who are hostile to the Exiles (they'd still shoot people who are hostile to them - meaning Gallic NPCs will still be shot by both NPC groups).
Edit: Dumb down - Exile NPCs shooting Junkers is gravy; has years of role play support. Bretonian NPCs shooting Junkers due to the presence of Exile NPCs is not gravy; it has zero role play support. So this issue is one of two things: 1) Bug - which should be fixed as any other bug. 2) Lore created by the development team that has no in game or forum support for it - the support needs to be put in place.
This. There was no RP as to why the KuEx ship wasn't shooting Junkers and now suddenly is, there was no RP as to why the Bretonian NPCs and everyone else in the area side with the KuEx NPCs. This is a bug, not a roleplay issue.
EDIT: If it were to be made a roleplay issue on the other hand, someone addressing the points above inRP, I'd be all for that. As is, this is a technical issue.
' Wrote:I hadn't realized this. Is this true that the stationary battleship was not shooting Junkers in the beginning and this was changed?
Yes, that was because the reps for the exiles npc faction were not placed properly at the beggining of 486. It is the same reason outcasts could dock on exile bases, and does anyone think that makes sense?
I honestly think a -0.5 rep serverside would work for now. As Stokes really wouldn't be shooting at Junkers who have done nothing wrong. Whilst the Bret Gov does appreciate the Exiles help we're not exactly gonna trip over ourselves to follow his diplomacy. Junkers are welcome in Bretonia at this time.

My point is maybe some rp should happen. A missive to the Bretonians, or even, god. forbid, the exiles

What exactly did you have in mind. I've been asking around among Junkers and those that have encountered Exiles in space have not had anything to complain about. in fact they told me that the reason the thread was started and the reason so many people are getting upset is because they HAVE encountered the Exiles in RP and the treatment they received does not match the treatment they receive from the Exile NPC's
I really dont think I should have to spoon feed the rp to you, and in fact, I wont. It really isnt that hard to figure out how to make a comm message to someone if you want to improve relations.

Wait. So people have to do forum role play to have a bug fixed? That is awesome. Why wasn't there role play done to have the bugs you mentioned fixed? Hrm?
