The men were glad to see that the Doc was OK. He was hit in the chest pretty bad, but besides that, his mood was good. He seemed to have total control of himself and Joe knew that everything was going to be great.
Joe : Anyway, can i take a quick look at the armory and maybe get an Assault Rifle or something. Im outta ammo and i'm not that good with shotguns. Maybe even go for duel wielding pistols..... Erik, you need a fresh gun too?
"Well, if you think we'll need it Joe, sure. I think I'll go for the SMGs this time. As for you Dave - you were hysterically shouting about spheres, destruction and that sort of thing."

Joe : Of course we need guns Erik, we're fighting a war out there. These kinda things dont go well with diplomacy. The only good solution to this problem is having more firepower then the enemy.
Joe quickly asked a guard for directions and the guard and Joe took off to hurry to the armoury.

Joe and the guard arrived at the armory, where it was quite busy. Something which he could have guessed, seeing they are fighting against Nomads. He slowly walked in with a smirk on his face and, of course, he still smoked his cigar. Even though some guards yelled at him because he had to put it out, he did not take notion of this.
Then he saw it, the M34 FMJ Shredder round based high-propulsion assault rifle. Like a little kid with a popsicle he could only look at the gun and while he drew on his cigar he carefully picked it up and looked down the sights. Clearly, this gun passed 'the test' and he only had to find a nice looking SMG for Erik.
Joe : Definately with regular ammo, i dont like those plasma thingies, way to progressive...
He kept on mumbling a bit when he picked up an HK MP2539 9mm full automatic SMG with extended magazines. He grabbed quite some ammo, both armor piercing and shredder rounds.
When he was about to walk away and back to the Infirmary he stopped.
Joe : Let's not forget grenades! Oeh, and maybe some P4.
When he was ready he threw the SMG to the guard who barely was able to catch it, he was not really paying attention to the Cerberus Agent. Then, the two men walked back to the group.
"100% normal...now that's not normal aye Jack? Well anyway, you'll be your old self again soon. As for why they were late you should ask Ellie. It's quite the story..."

The Thalia Grace and Ghost Eye were being chased by an absurd number of Sascyas.
As they neared the rendevous, two ships appeared, one decloaking, the other melting from the space. Fighters seemed to streem from the larger of the two ships, following the rain of capital turret fire.
"This is Commander Hunter, all hands, prepare to synchronize jump times. Prepare to hyperjump to Kansas."
Lucy turned to the Order personell. "Rearm on Oathkeeper, we cant cover every bit of this. This was not sanctioned."
The Sascyas danced with the Nephthys and Bastet fighters.
"This is Alpha Wing to Fleet; We will deal with these overgrown jellyfish-we'll make Rendevous Beta at South Shields."
The Order onboard the Thalia felt the tug as the cruiser jumped.
Wichita, Kansas System, Liberty Space.
The five ships exited and established orbit around Wichita.
"Ok Order, end of the line. Transfer to Temporary Battlegroup Command on ThunderBay." Alexis paused. "And Doctor Synk, if you hurt my daughter in any way, shape, or form, I will tie you,to the forward gun and personally vaporize you."
A Border Worlds Transport would be clamped to the side of the ThunderBay as the Raven's Talon flew them over, and the Thalia Grace headed for Virgina.
