' Wrote:Liberty is supposed to turn into a military dictatorship in catastrophic scenario, as per vanilla lore.
If that happens, the Legion would oppose it. If it wouldn't happen the Legion would be in favor of it.
It's an alternate universe and since lore-wise the Hellfire Legion was founded shortly after the nomad war their alternate version can be changed for such things.
Well... if you do want to have it around, just call it something else.. maybe it's just me but 'Hellfire Legion' doesn't sound too good for a bunch of guys opposing a military dictatorship. In fact, it makes no sense at all, so if you wanna redo the lore.. might as well pick a fitting name.
I was thinking today about "exotic systems". Currently there is the idea of accessing the Black Hole's Core to some valuable and dangerous systems. Mainly those systems could be isolated because of the level of difficulty to access them. So as a small "periodic alternative" we should implement "exotic systems" that can be accessed by temporary jumpholes. Like this:
You are in Omicron Minor, while traveling your navicomputer gives you a warning (console text) that in the system opened a new gravitational anomaly, if you see it bang, dock and you are 100 lightyears away from Sirius into a newly mysterious system. Remember the one in Edinburgh ? With the unknown planet ? To remove the JH could be done by simple small updates, or to reopen it. But if there is another method of implementation (which I doubt) it could be much more accessible. We can think about a launcher, like Crossfire has. The temporary JH to the exotic systems should be opened for 1-2 days. But if you are on the other side, you can come back from the JH you entered, but back home, you won't see near you the JH you first accessed. Think of this, Discovery can have around 300+ systems:).
PS: I can't finish the Shipyard tonight because tomorrow I have a very big biology exam, so.. but after I come from school it will be all good. Still I will edit it a bit right now, since its 90-95 % done. No textures tho'

As the war raged, Liberty pulled all ships save the Yukon, in Los Angeles orbit, and two cruisers, the Jason Grace and it's sister, the Thalia Grace, were pulled back from thier posts and sent to the front
But, in the Vespucci system, the Hellfire Legion planned an attack. Waiting until a spy told them the Thalia and Jason Graces were at San Diego, the Legion jumped in with their flagship the Ven'Gyr and a full fighter wing. Caught by surprise, the Jason Grace was heavily damaged, managing to kamikaze and fire it's main gun,at point-blank rang, crippling the Ven'Gyr. The Thalia Grace opened up, but was disabled and captured by the Legion. Without the Naval units, San Diego fell.
At Los Angeles, the Yukon sent a distress call, and the Fifth Assault Fleet, lead by the carrier Los Angeles, jumped into California. The leader, Captain Zack Archer, ordered his fleet to reinforce the Yukon. This action saved both the Yukon and planet Los Angeles, but this decision sealed the fate for California Minor. The Legion overwhelmed the defenses and invaded, solidifying a base within the California system. If not for the quick action of the Fifth Fleet, Willard would have fallen.
The dreadnought Harmony, accompanied by the battlecruisers ThunderBay and Iwo Jima, as well as the seige cruisers Austin, Ohio, and Lake Michigan, immedietly moved to Willard, catching the already damaged Ven'Gyr. Knowing it was useless to try and fight Harmony and her escorts, Ven'Gyr retreated back to San Diego, where the Iblis and the Abbadon had come with reinforcments. Knowing an assault would mean heavy losses, the commander of the Ven'Gyr dispatced Iblis and Abbadon to reinforce California Minor.
Archer, meanwhile, reinforced the Yukon by placing the second dreadnought, the Arizona, nearbye, while ordering his fleet to hold Mojave and the jump gate to New York.

The Hellfire Legion won't be present in DAU's initial release, unless they change their name and their current modus operandi in sight of Liberty's status on DAU. That's the reason, until then, this idea is scrapped.
Regarding your Order Remnant, I'm sorry, but we've wiped the faction from everywhere(empathy.ini, initialworlds.ini and from faction_prop.ini).

Idea scrapped, we don't need to make this a Discovery-Crossfire-Nightstalker milkshake.

Well it's rather unique. Not even one mod that I tested so far has this "temporary access". Regarding Crossfire, well it's just the launcher idea. Nightstalker is mix of random systems. Nothing more.

' Wrote:You can always dictate Rheinland with me, Jeremy, people need advisors. And dictators are people too. Anyway, why did ypu scrap the Order altogether?
I won't spoil who is the current Ch. of Rheinland. But I can only tell you that he knew Trent, and that he's Rheinland-born. :P
