I don't understand what these images are for and what they represent. I am not of a hand drawing artist myself, but i did take it looong time ago in school and i used to draw. From what I can see you really need to work on the shading. The top portion of the drawing is much better than the lower one.

Bain, seems to me that you didn't put a lot of effort into the shading. Shading is not hard, it takes time and patience. There are many techniques of shading and none of them is easy. I would say the cross-hatch shading is the hardest and smear shading being the easiest. I drew a pic out of my head once, back in a day when i was in HS, and the teacher told me to stop tracing images from magazines. I was confused... I did it all by myself, put a lot of effort into it and the result was that " I copied"...The other part of me was saying that I did a damn good job, that she didn't believe it was my own work.

I guess when i do a drawing, i never want to ruin it by attempting to shade it:(
i think ive done cross hatching before, sometimes it looked good, others not so good.
And yeah, i hate it when people say "You traced that" :P

I've literally spammed grunge brushes and layer effects. No skill behind that really.

This one's for Anon:
