EDGE? I wanted them out. I PMed one of them 30 minutes before the event started. No answer. When it was time to start, lots of them were there. I talked to one, who seemed to be their leader. I discussed and with 400 PMs (When do we start) I just decided to move on and start. Perhaps I should have taken the courage to say: "Faction Right 4, get out." I didn't.
Quote:Why did the Bounty Hunters run to the base to get regens around 8 times from what I counted.
Why did everyone started to run around the base when the unlawfuls/IMG/CR got some backup.
Why did they take bots from a Battleship and multiple Cruisers while running around said base.
Nothing I can answer. I was in the bomber attack against Briesen and then I was doing transport roleplay. Sorry. =)
He did later when the Corsairs showed up in force.
Anyways...
I liked how it was meant to be a trader-centric event. What I disliked was how I didn't really feel in too much danger as a trader. I mean, there were two Rheinland cruisers just sitting at Freisdadt. They could have utterly destroyed me in about 3 seconds. They didn't they just sat there and did nothing.
Perhaps next time, do not allow capships at the station, only fighters. Heck, make it a fighters/bomber/tradeships only event, no caps allowed.
What I also didn't like was how the fight kept straying away from the station. The RM forces there should have been trying to blow up us traders, not dogfighting the defense forces. Perhaps next time have something at stake for people to get motivated about. Like, if there's less than x amount of whatever delivered, then IMG forces are dealt a severe blow and (insert in-game consequence here). That would refocus the attention on the main objective. Now I know that you said you didn't want to affect the story too much and I do agree with you, but having no motivation at all to go after the traders also breaks the event.
Nevertheless, I had fun at your event, and hope to participate in more!
Perhaps you didn't notice that if not our small group of fighters at the O11 jh, the RM/DHC side would just get, i quote, "steamrolled" ?
Perhaps you cannot accept it that we actually balanced the battle ?
Did you not enjoy it ?
(i suppose ignoring Henderson's requests is a common practice, so i'll get on with my defense in this "trial by forum")
Well i suppose you didn't, i guess you were tired from an even fight, judging from the fact that you had to help yourselves with solarizer caps, which, when they showed up, shifted the fragile balance to your favour even more, not to mention coming and going with new regen supplies - and ending the event.
We had no regens from anyone, we sent one of our fighters 3 or 4 times for the regens, simply because even with the 8 of us there, the RM/DHC side was still outnumbered.
And you're whining that we were there ?
Have another quote from mr Henderson, and have some decency fcs.
"No side is steamrolled by a huge gank (remember: it's not about winning)"

You're missing the point. BHG and Merc ships were disallowed from the event in the event thread to keep it clear who was on whose team.
Perhaps if you had asked beforehand, something to the effect of, 'Hey, can we join in if the RM side is shorthanded?' it would have been agreed.
That said, event was lots of fun ^^
Also thank you to all that staid away or left when I requested them to leave (the Corsairs that seem to have been called for help ingamely, but they just didn't really fit).
The bombing of Briesen: Thank you for the roleplay there. I was not engaged for real, so I could actually roleplay and get a few nice screenies for forum-rp. Also the reaction of making someone run to Stuttgart to call help after we hit the antenna first, was great! I wouldn't have expected that. It also gave us some time to hit a few times.
I liked the EDGE-reaction of not getting involved (since they support IMG in the Taus). I guess it was tempting to just wipe our few bombers out, but you didn't. It's appreciated!
I didn't see the chaos when the Hessians jumped in, but I enjoyed the roleplay during the bombing and RHA on the PM line. Coordinating this was cool. I loved it. I hope the numbers were okay, I didn't have an idea. I just called the Hessians when everything near Briesen was full of RM (from my limited perspective). =)
The trade runs:
I had one really tough one in which I nearly got destroyed. And it got my adrenaline pumping. It was also a great sight. I hope my screenies capture it. But I guess I might have got some nice stuff.
I found it great when Rheinland really attacked the transports and I saw many that were not quickdocking but "mooring" and being fat targets there. Kudos to these who really took the danger!
Also nice: the Bretonia-checkpoint that talked about regulations when carrying Pharmaceuticals. It was only a small bit (and I just ran past), but it added a cool sense of reality and a presence of Bretonia to the scenario.
The atmosphere in chat and in our group chat was tense at the time when the fight was at Freistadt. That was the best part of the whole event, in my opinion. After the fight moved off, we still upheld the tension in chat, but it disappeared. It was replaced by trader-ingame-talk which was great, too.
I don't have much to crizicise because I wasn't part of the part of the event that causes QQ most often: Pvp. I can only hope that it was not completely unfair. I can say for myself, that it was absolutely impossible for me to oversee then numbers at any time of the event.
Next time I'd change a few things:
> Use FR4 from the very beginning (even though I think EDGE was not a bad addition in terms of evening it out, actually).
> Try not to answer to 400 PMs when the events should start, because the number of PMs just increase by every second you delay the start.
> Don't go at mega-prime time because it was hard to relog onto the server (I needed to switch accounts)

I suggest you get your facts straight. First of all, you need to understand the concept of a "tiral by forum". If you dont know what that is, the wiki can be helpful.
Moving on, the unlawful side showed up in fighters only. We engaged you in fighters only, but the problem was that you kept running for regens with 2 of your fighters at least 8 times, like I said. You were running for regens when the fight was balanced, and there was an equal number of fighters on each side (perhaps +2 on one side).
Now you continued doing this until after some time, and after having you waste 500-600 bots, we finally managed to kill 3-4 of you simply because your ships ran out of CM's. After that, you remembered to buy CM's at your resupply points as well, at which point the RM caps showed up and we called in or own. So you see, next time you decide to show up for an event, you at least read the background of that event, you read the goals of that event, and then, if you were even allowed to participate, you can call the other side out for something.
My only rage with the event was that people were being killed and then respawning to re-engage, which will probably be covered by a hail of incoming rule violation reports.
Overall, I personally felt that the event had next to no/none trader activity in it and it was all about trying to kill off the Rheinlander force.
