Getting acitivy when you're doing something new, and for a goal like official status is -a lot- easier then keeping it up.

Every Gallia faction accounts for the arrivall of 86. That isn't coming anytime soon, so we're left without any indication of when we can move on with Gallia. Especially gallic factions who are restricted to gallia have trouble finding something new to do. If you look at the council faction, they have quite a lot of people who use [C] in their name, but are not part of the faction. So that might even add another gallic faction on that list.

If most of the gallic factions are going inactive, is that the fault of all of them? Doubt that. Forcing people online to save their status isn't helping anything. Instead, maybe try to fix the cause of the mass-inactivity, starting with those extremely stubborn NPC's. Every single fight ends with this: (http://img843.imageshack.us/img843/7970/npcqq.jpg)

Its not an individual faction thing anymore.

even though we ( Council ) would probably get just enough activity without the non-faction ships with [C] in their name, john is right.

i understand it is supposed to be looking like a war-scourged house, but the the execution of this fact in gallia through npcs kills the trader activity here, thus no pirates, no lawfuls, no council.

as the 2iC of the council official faction, i <strike>ask</strike> beg the admins and devs to give player incentive to trade in gallia despite the fact that they would probably die after 20k of cruise there. increase profit of commodities sold in the house, so that people are actually motivated to take the risk and try to get through the npc patrols. there is absolutely no trader activity (save gold ore hauling by gms, idf) in the entire sector and is killing all the official factions one by one. i understand igiss had a nice idea, but the idea dies if there is nobody there to be a part of it.

Gallia is boring. The only fun part is occasional group fights between GRN| to [C] and sometimes, if I am very lucky cap fight.

I would like to add something,

what Phoenix and Vlko above me already said is true for the most part, but I am quite surprised because GRN is on that list. Didn't we make a chat exactly for this purpose, to plan events and fights? We are all casual players so if we would plan something for a few hours at the weekend, that would be enough...

and yes, I can only add: change NPCs and trading/smuggling. It's all that's needed at the moment.

Fighting the same (3 or 4) people over and over again in the same setting with 3 million NPC's all over the place gets old. Dieter had a nice thing going. If he can't continue, why doesn't another admin pick it up?
