Ok I've just bought the Gold Edition on Steam where I get CoH and Opposing Fronts for 14.99. Pretty sweet, will take a while to download though.

I apologize for the double post, but I gotta share this.

I love Company of Heroes mainly for this reason.

The utter care and love given to the sounds in the game.

There is so much going on the radio, the conveying of the characters behind the units, the explosions, the gunfire everything to do with sound has been given utter and brilliant love. It sounds like I'm actually there to a point, its greatly immersive and I adore ANY game that can do this and do it well.

Also, stealing German rocket artillery pieces should be considered a crime, its cake walk! German Panthers scare the hell out of me though...

I know what you mean, when you have your troops and British base and you hear the sound of the german Stukas or Nebels (rockets), they make that scream and boy, I do **** a brick.

The dialogue is brilliant, (I only really play Brits) I love when my command struck just goes "Command here, sitting pretty", or my infantry go "Lets tear them a ass boys!"

The Americans have the best with "Boogyman, on the move" (Their sniper) "Eat lead mother****ers" (Machinegunner).

Trust me, you don't know fear when you see a King Tiger walk up to your British HQ. Or when like I said before, you hear the German rockets. Excellent sounding game, love it to pieces.

Nebelwerfers will forever haunt my nightmares, no wonder the Allies called them, what was it "Screaming Mini's?" their noise is FREAKING TERRIFYING!!

Not to mention the burn damage post attack!

I've yet to play multiplayer, but from what I hear, I shouldn't bother, such a high skill entry level and balance issues I hear. Aka commandos.

"If I see one more bag of dirt!!"

Aye, I remember playing against you and someone else all by my lonesome (AI can't count).

Blitzkrieg is so fast paced I'm still getting my head around it.

Must say I do love Blitzkrieg. Couldn't go back to the regular game after that, it spoiled me with all the units and tech trees.

And you think Nebelwerfers and King Tigers are scary? Wait until you see a full on Blitz spearheaded by a Tiger followed up by 4 Panthers, 3 Panzer IVs, and 3 Ostwinds. All the while my ally builds up a infantry army to support and follow behind my advance.
