If you comply with a demand, they can't demand more. That is my understanding of how things work.

They can't demand more, I get that bit - what if they engage after you pay? Is that PvP abuse/sanctionable?

Technically, they can't engage before asking something. But there is no rule explicitly stating that they can't engage you after you paid. See the nuance ?

Do a freaking forum search. This has been discussed with admin input before.

Pirates cannot kill a trader who complied with their demand. They cannot make a 2nd demand. They must let the trader go if he complies with their demand. There are very few exceptions to that and they all revolve around the trader doing something stupid after he has met the pirate's demand, such as shooting the cargo he just dropped.

People really need to quit asking and thinking that only an admin can answer your question, many many players have been here a long while and many of us are perfectly capable of answering your question. Admins aren't here to answer each and every little question at a member's whim, they have better things to do.

No need for the tone or the obvious troll.

I was merely seeking clarification, I had an idea it was against the rules however it is always best to check before you file any sanction reports. My question has been answered, many thanks.

Yes, because I said something you don't like, I'm trolling. Excuse the fact that answered your question or that you could have found the answer had you used the search feature built into the forums. My apologies if you did use the search feature, but I doubt you did.

-Keep it polite boys. Daedric was pointing out that the question has been answered many times in the past. However, sometimes it is good for a confusing topic to be raised again, especially for newer players who are not familiar with things.

Though I would point out, the search feature in the top right-hand corner of the screen, right under the Discovery header bar.

Here is a link, just in case you need it. Forum Search

That's PvP abuse and will get the pirate sanctioned quicker than almost anything else.

While I'm not an admin anymore, I feel quite comfortable putting that in yellow. If you meet their demands and pay, other than maybe shooting your turrets off if your character specifically is an enemy of their faction, they're done with you.
