The leetspeaking cylons are going to have mixed reactions. I personally am neutral on that one. another way to sound like a robot is to repeat yourself like an idiot.

"Target identified, arming weapons to attack identified target. Attacking Identified Target."

"Target destroyed, dearming weapons. Attack ceasing. By your command."

All in one line of dialog.

You could also have no voices, and transmit in a text only form.

"***:\ Body of Text: Moving through sector, no hostile intentions. End of Text.***"


Whatever works for you guys though and wont get tomatoes thrown at you.

True, but the "Stargate" movie never mentioned the Asgard. The "Stargate: SG-1" TV series introduced the Asgard who are small gray, large-eyed aliens, better known as the aliens from what many believe was a real life incident in Roswell, New Mexico in 1947.

True. The Asgard aliens in "Stargate: SG-1" and "Stargate: Atlantis" named themselves for Norse gods (such as Thor, Loki, etc.) and impersonated those gods in ancient times on Earth.

I used the name as when we were still a part of the WA clan, we were a norse clan, so AW needed a norse name.

Now I understand the reason why you chose your name.

I made AW from the ground up. Before you start pointing fingers, find out about the things your accusing. And try finding anything similar between SG and AW. You won't.

Unless you're little gray aliens (which I haven't heard that you are), I would have to agree with you regarding any such similarities.

I think it's pretty cool, gonna have to disagree with you on that one, Drake. Not that I'm gonna go around talking like that; I use the best English (caps and punctuation included) as I can in-game. And on the boards. I'm sorry, but people saying 'u' instead of 'you' on the forums pisses me off, though this can be labeled under RP.

Now back on topic, I know it is technically "leet" speak, however it is rather clever and gives it a sort of robot feel when they talk. There really isn't any other way to "sound" like a robot when you are typing something in system chat. Unless you were to try putting 10010110101 before and after saying something.

EDIT: just read unit's post, that also would be a good way. I like the one where you show you are transmitting lines of text.

As was said, if we are going to turn the Cylons away just for being non FL, all must go.

It's a fairly well done attempt at creating a faction here. Yes their RP is borrowed, but many of the factions here have borrowed their RP from non FL ideas - in fact my Black Dragons are totally ripped from the Yakuza.

As third in command of the Black Dragons, I don't wish to show disrespect to you, our leader, but the Hogosha are based on the Yakuza. How can you ripoff the Yakuza when you've created a Hogosha player faction with ideas based on the Yakuza which provided the inspiration for the Hogosha in the first place?:unsure:

Excuse me? Are you saying that if an important message was intercepted in a WW II, and could not be dealt with in 5 minutes, you would ignore it (assuming you are the one working on decoding)? Riiiiight. If it is that hard for you, then ignore it, but not just that, be sure to shoot us because of that. It will not be pvp whoring, i'm certain you would have a great RP background story behind it. Riiiight.

Now, please, be more constructive. If you don't have a suggestion, then don't spit on other's work. I don't know who you are, and as far as i'm concerned you may be the most respected member of this forum, i wouldn't care. You'r opinion about this factions existance is allready written, and i don't really think you are here to help us survive, are you? Maybe just to bury us, or at least try.

Do you realy think i would use such speech while I am fighting, or someone else is near me? Double the time you need to read that, that's how long it takes me to write it. And if you haven't noticed, i will have to quote myself :

You see it is the same as the one up there in Alpha. Cylons should not use many words, mainly phrases.

Now, if you can't remember, or even try to remember 4,5 phrases, then it is your problem.
