So I hang out near Manhattan. If some guy in a starflier rams me (but not fatally) and then uses some exploit to commit suicide in mid-space, it says he was killed by me in a collision. Some people think it's amusing to do this for hours on end. Is this against the rules or not?
Quote:5.2 All attacks must be the result of some form of role play. "Engaging" is not sufficient. An attack is any hostile action that drains shields to less than 50%. Being hit with a CD is not considered an attack. If a player is attacked he has a right to defend himself regardless of who is attacking.
If you know that a player will ram you for the third time, you should start opening fire on him before he does it.
But screen his actions and yours just in case to defend yourself;)

That would be really nice. However, the issue is that only one ramming occurs. Subsequently, it is just some exploit that is used to commit suicide and the ramming is logged as the last attack made. One ramming occurs in the whole process, but a lot of suicides without ramming thereafter which report a "was killed by __ in a collision" message.

So, these suicide pilots are attacking not one vessel but a random one each time? (o_O)

In my case, I was rammed once by the pilot in question. Then, the pilot used some glitch or exploit to instigate an immediate death of his ship, which reports a "was killed by ___ (Collision)" message. The pilot repeatedly undocked and performed the exploit without ever ramming me again, but each exploit-suicide still reported the "was killed by ___ (Collision)" message.
It didn't really bother me until people started accusing me of ramming newbies.
So a gnat splats itself against your window repeatedly. Frankly I am amazed people are so bored that they resort to childish acts as this.
I suppose a one minute cooldown timer on the /selfdestruct command is in order?

The situation is different:
The gnat bumps against the window, and then explodes from the inside out, and everyone thinks you were the reason for this.;)
