//THIS RP TAKES PLACE IN THE PAST! (~April 819AS)

Caja was sitting in her Office - going through the loads of requests and Mission Reports which were sent to the High Command each day - when a transmission with high priority poped up her screen.

:::INCOMMING TRANSMISSION:::
:::Sender: Cdr. Lukas Meyer:::
:::Target: Adm. Caja Collister:::

Good day Admiral Collister.

I have good news for you.

Our enginers just finished the Mora Laboratory.

I just wanted to know if you want to take a look at it before our scientists start their work.

Awaiting your answer.

Meyer over and out.

:::TRANSMISSION ENDS:::

Caja was pleased about this News and sent the answer right away.

:::INCOMMING TRANSMISSION:::
:::Sender: Adm. Caja Collister:::
:::Target: Cdr. Lukas Meyer:::

Good news indeed.

I will have a look at the lab as soon as possible.

Collister out.

:::TRANSMISSION ENDS:::

She went back to her paperwork. But she was to curious.

Just a few minutes later she packed her stuff and went in direction to the Office's Exit when Michal Golanski went in.

Golanski was actually at Lisbon where High Command quarters were. Althrough he preffers either Sajuuk or Inquisitor to be closer to an action when it is neccesary sometimes he visited that place. Conferences or personal meetings were not frequent, mostly everything was done via holographic conferences due to it's speed and tight shifts in Order. He walked down through corridor talking to one of his officers.

'Captain Scott, I need that production line working. We need as much of Nephthyses we can build, even if there is not enough pilots to fly them at the momenth. After you're done you are relieved, I put night shift to action. Captain D'Angelo I need you to check on last recruits, I got feeling those are going to be good. Dismissed.'

'Yes sir.' Both captains saluted and gone to their own ways.

Admiral proceeded reading a report, about situation in other parts of Sirius which may have impact or oppurtunities for local operations. He noticed to see Collister in her office like she was moving out. He walked in and asked.

What's up?

Caja smiled at Michal.

"What's up you ask?"

She giggled.

"Where should I start."

"Nothing is working like it should."

"Too much paperwork as always."

"And secondary Fleet pilots who seem to have never flown a Spaceship before."

"Beeing Admiral drives me crazy!"

Caja realised that he just wanted to know what she's going to do.

"Oh... and now."

"Well."

"I'm just going to take a look at one thing which is not "not working" like all the other stuff."

"Our guys managed to finish the Lab we builded to make something out of the active powercell we got by the Coalition some time back."

"If you want... you're invited to come with me."

Crazy pilots... yes I know exactly what you think about. About that powercell, that thing will be more than useful. Stupid action from commies to gave us that thing and attack following day. I guess shuttle for Mora station is ready, delays can be so frustrating.

Golanski sighs and follows admiral Collister. While reaching and boarding shuttle he reminds of something.

Most of those powercells can be used as powerful energy source, but as well used in building a weapons of mass destruction, yes?

"Well. Theoretical you can supply anything with it."

"De facto - its quite hard to make our technology working perfectly with such a energysource."

"Cause of that we plan to study and modify this Cell before we use it."

The Shuttle Captain watched the Admirals while they took their seats.

"Admiral Collister, Admiral Golanski. Are you ready to go?"

"No. We're sitting in this Shuttle 'cause we like to lollygag - SIR."

The Pilot turned back to his intruments and put on his Headset.

The Shuttle lock closed.

"Lisbon control. Shuttle Djed-zero-seven here."

"Admirals on board. Ready to go."

"Requesting permission to undock."

The Shuttlehangar doors opened slowly and the Shuttle started vibrating a bit when the Pilot powered up its Engines.

In transit, towards Mora station.

I wonder why we built a station that far... was it designed originaly as a research station perhaps?

Pod starts to shake as sound was heard.

Don't tell me you hit another asteroid. Careful over there! Asteroids everywhere: Delta, Minor, 92, 100. Those rocks have use but are annoying.

Shuttle reached Mora and begins docking procedure. As admirals left shuttle they noticed not much people are around this station.

At least it is silent. Lead the way.

"Yeah - silent - possibly that's the reason why I like to be here."

Caja sighed.

"Good that not that many people have permission to be here. Makes the work easyer."

She went on to one of the many locks the hangarsection has.

In front of one lock Caja stood still and pressed her hand on a scanner.

With the other hand she pulled down another one which scanned her eyes and face.

After the scan was completed a computer voice was heard.

"Level one scan complete."

"Level two scan - start."

The scanner Caja pulled down before snaped back up.

The Computer voice was heard again.

"Voice print - part one."

"Admiral Caja Collister. Operative ID: 7215681."

"Accepted."

"Voice print - part two."

"Nebty - Seven - Zero - Eight - Udjat - Alpha - Nine."

"Accepted."

A red light on top the lock flashed up and a short audible alarm was heard when the lock opend.

Two heavy armored soliders stood right behind the lock - right behind them another lock.

Both stood still like statues. Only their breath could be heard a bit through their helmets.

"Greetings."

Caja and Michal stepped into the little room.

The first lock closed.

As they are in place one of guards attempts to open final doors. Admirals are watching him as he continues through his own security procedures.

Tell me, does those guards have shifts or stay here like that twenty-four hours a day?

Looks on guard

I guess I do not want to know.

Doors opened and they walk in a main part of lab. As he follows Collister he observes every stage of security checks. As they enter the lab he see a big object, around Eagle VHF sized. It is well secured and everything is in place.

That has to be one of those artifacts that made commies attack us? I wonder how they would move that thing from hearth of station just like that.

Caja entered the Lab right after Michal.

She was dazzled when she moved out of the dark security lock into the bright lab.

All she saw in the first moment were some people in front of her.

A few meters behind them the core.

[Image: lab1.png]

A few scientists stood in front of the Admirals and starred at them.

"Oh well..."

Caja was really amazed when she saw the dome-shaped Lab the first time.

She did never see it before because she was to busy with managing all the deliveries for this.

It was almost empty at this moment because the scientists had the order to wait for the Admirals before they start.

A lightblue force field surrounded the core.

A sound could be heard - like a heartbeat - just much more powerful.

With every beat the whole lab vibrated a bit.

A permanent buzzing could be heard from the four enormous electromagnets which hold the core in its position.

Caja turned to Michal.

"Move it? Believe me. you don't want to try that except you like to destroy labs - or possibly whole stations."

"Currently we have no real idea how powerfull this one really is, but we will find out some day."

A hooded man stepped into the Lab right after the Admirals.

"Guten Tag Admirals. You enjoy the show?"

His name was Lukas Meyer. Commander of the primary fleet and also Caja's assistant.

Lukas handed over a file to the Admirals.

Caja was surprised.

"What? A report - on paper?!"

"Ja Admiral Collister. Why not. It is..... pretty much "unhackable" when its not anywhere in the Database."

Caja giggled.

"Well...... point for you."

Sometimes simpliest solutions are the best.

Golanski looks on artifact again.

Better it give some results. Before any unknown side effects of it may appear... Well get to work.

Golanski takes a walk around lab observing different sorts of scanners, computers and different kind of scientific equipment he could not describe. Soon something interesting catch his attention. One of smaller artifacts, fist sized and very decorative parts resembling 'buttons'. Through appears to be inactive.

I could believe it may be some sort of controler or part of it. It had to be delivered with rest of stuff. Have you tried doing anything with that? Appears to be left without power and dont look like a random trinket.
