hello, I went to the Manchester system to mine hydrocarbons because I thought, they are so readily available on the station at only a cost of 50 that they would drop like nobodys business in the mining fields behind the station.
but, this doesnt seem to be the case, you get even less than if you are mining gold ore for example. I was wondering why this was?:(
I fancied mining somewhere that isnt one of the so very milked places, and manchester is such a nice system to look at, and also very quiet.;)
but, sadly i was dissapointed to see that I get maybe 2 hydrocarbons on average per rock, 3 or 4 if im very lucky.
many people may question why you would want to mine or trade hydrocarbons anyway, well, because its something that ive never done before. and there is clearly a BMM mining operation in the field,
If hydrodcarbons are really so hard to mine and extract, I doubt they would sell for only 50 credits each on the station realistically.
I think, for hydrocarbons the drop should be around 20-40 per rock, personally.
You know, I always thought the ID/ship/rep mining restrictions and varying mining bonuses were a little silly. Maybe just make fields more accessible and logroll hydrocarbons in there.
' Wrote:hmm,:(but the rest of the mining tweeks were made during .85 does it really take that long to change something?
cannon is busy with what he can to roll out the next mod. there are other issues with the mining mod already, but 4.86 needs to come out. and thats the only objective now.
