At about 10:30 or 10:40 p.m. Eastern time a pilot by the name of Blahblahson began doling out large quantities of cash. Some players denounced him as a hacker, others took the cards gladly.

He was level 90 in a Raven's Talon with nothing but Justice I's and a civilian ID. He gave out tens of millions of credits. I do not have screen shots, but I do have a pilot by the name of Shaun_Callahan sitting in Manhattan with 6 10X10^6 in credit cards in his hold. It would be nice if someone could clarify whether this person was hacking so that I would know whether to cash in or dump the cargo in the cold void of space.

Can anyone help me out?

Lets see...a thowaway name, joke guns on an overpowered ship, lvl 90 & a civ ID, & throwing $$$ around like it was going out of style?

Yeah, I'd say he's not worth the time of day.

If I may make a reccomendation:

Never take $$$ from people you never met on server. IMHO it retards RP development...either earn it by working for it, or only take loans from those you already know

Cheers:cool:

Yeah... that sounds very fishy to me. VERY strange.

Sounds about right. I've occasionally given some cash to people who were having some serious trouble, though, or who I thought deserved it. I was helping one guy join the Order, and he was struggling to even hurt any of the NPCs on the missions in his Griffon, so I gave him the 900k he needed to get a Nephthys, if only because I would hate to have to go through that myself. Still, people just handing around piles o' cash to everyone is very strange.

I fully believe what you are saying about RP development. Those hours I spent trading now seem pointless.

Here's what happened:
Blahblahson: "Come to Manhattan for stuff."

I pull up to check it out, don't have time to scan or anything before I hear,

Ranger or something: "Die Hacker!" (opens fire, blowing up Blahblahson)

I tractor in his gear thinking it was an unprovoked kill and proceed to sit on Manhattan and try to figure out the facts of the matter. Blahblahson proceeds to dole out the cash and I sit there not selling the cards, launch, scan him, then log out.

hax...

nuf' said, really. If thats how it went, and thats what happened. I can't see any other possible explanation as to how he got hold of all that.

Civi ID suggest he is new to the server, R-Talon means he traveled a distance. Maybe to look specific rocks? with the special little mod we know little about?

noob name, is n00bish indeed. Seen it all before.

So proceed to the deepest areas of space and dump the loot? Is that the only way to be rid of it?

I was there too, he seemed extremely fishy to me.

As for getting rid of it, jettison it and shoot them.
