Okay, so as the title suggests I'm looking for a headset.

My budget is extremely limited at the time, I just want something good enough to understand people, and have them understand me.
I have good headphones when I want to listen to music, I don't need anything fancy.

Does anyone have suggestions for the best headset I can get for a low price?

Plexgear SBV-400 is pretty good while also cheap. Unfortunately the cable tends to end up with a loose contact which has ruined two headsets for me already, though they are cheap enough that you can just replace them.

Had 3 pairs of these, unfortunately I was a 'lil rough on them, not through rage but just because they're not very flexy.

Really good for the price though (under £20)

I just use Turtle Beaches, they seem to be pretty good quality at a understandable price.

Check it out.

I've decided to leave.

Need to contact me? My skype is verbalartistsaan

Goodbye.

Turtle Beach-X12 series has always been my favorite. More expensive, but you can find them for 40$ if you look in the right place (about 30 Euros)

Thanks for the suggestions everyone. In the end, I just went to the store and asked a guy what they recommended for under 30€.

Ended up with this - a Philips SHG7210.
I can't comment on it yet, have yet to try it out.

Get cheap ones. You'll likely kill it after a few weeks by standing up and ripping the cords out, or rolling over the cable with your chair, etc... if you ruin it, only 10 Euro were ruined.

Well, it was 25 €. Not super cheap, but fairly cheap.
Tripping over cords and stuff is a bit of a concern since my headphones have a cord that's like.....3 m long.
But eh, I'll take care.

Also: IMG convoy tonight so I can test it! :3

I would buy mid-range to expensive one and would fix/change the cable if needed. It requires almost no skill to do so, also new 3.5 jack and new cable is around 5€ max if you need to change it. I use older version of this:
http://www.plantronics.com/de/product/gamecom-780
it works for 4 years without any problems till now. The trick is that is is with really dick cable cord.
