On this time I'm contacting you, instead of Magister Orlov, because I want to express the full officiality of my words. I speak as Pontiff of Deux Faith, but mostly speak as human brother and friend.
Tri-Udent ... Your system is under siege, you are losing your bases and thousands of innocent lives. You don't have enough military strength to endure this, and you know it... You can fight with honor and courage, and I know you will do, but in the end you will be defeated. All will be lost. Everything you have fought, your ideals... All. You wish that?
I know that you have been treated badly, I know that injustices have been committed against you, and I know that it has been guilty of that you have come to this, but this situation is out of control, out of your control.
You have blocked Omicron 74 in a separatist act which significantly affects the stability of Omicrons, you have enabled automatic defenses that mistakenly opened fire on innocent targets, and you have acted recklessly causing unnecessary conflicts in which people have died, brothers who only obeyed your orders because they believed in you.
I don't want judge the motives that have led you to do such things, I know you are good people, but I want to say that this has to stop. For all of us, for those who are gone, for all those who will die if this continues.
The NCC will not support your acts more as you continue with this war, and I have been speaking with Ted Prescot, Administrator of Freeport 101, and he neither will. However we both still want that you have the opportunity to rectify and stop this massacre.
Mr. Prescot has proposed a number of conditions that, if you accept, could stop the war. Seem reasonable to me, so I ask you, please, consider it.
They are:
1. Omicron Kappa defense station should be passed under protectorate to Phoenix zoners , as this is gateway to outer omicrons.
2. And ZA comm station in omicron Theta can be passed to zoner researchers as forward outpost of deeply secluded Corinth research facility.
3. Full demilitarization of ZA and denying them nephilim class Battleships.
I understand how hard it's for you to have to go through this, but you also understand that it is in your hands the key to stop this conflict, which has lasted too long.
Please, in the name of Deux I beg you to reflect on the conditions proposed. Take your time, consult it with your officers... what you need, but keep in mind that this war is an aberration against Deux and His Gift. It's a serious sin to allow human brothers kill each other. You can stop it.
Think also of the destabilization of wide area that is causing this war. Already there have been incidents of indiscriminate attacks on other Zoners which have nothing to do with this. Violence begets violence and now many criminals and murderers are feeling justified to start a "Zoner hunt" and destroying homes of innocent and peaceful brothers.
I pray for Deux grant you the wisdom to choose the right path. Deux be with you, brother Tri-Udent.
