Corsair Brotherhood and Coalition bring death and destruction to the Paradise

After two days of the Corsair Brotherhood's declaration of War against the Sirius Coalition Revolutionary Army (SCRA), and their choice of making the Omega 49 system the 'battleground' for this dispute, Planet Gran Canaria is in havoc! Both the Corsairs and the Coalition delivered nuclear and plasma bombs to several locations across Canaria's surface. There are even some unconfirmed reports about chemical and biological strikes. What is known for sure is that several Zoner civilian cities were severely damaged, and the death count could reach many hundreds.

Several Zoner organizations are joining efforts to protect the citizens of Gran Canaria and help with the care to the wounded. Assets have been diverted from the Omicrons and Baffin to Omega 49 to help in this humanitarian crusade.

EXCLUSIVE NEWS: People of Gran Canaria revolts against imposed Martial Law!

At the end of the second day of bombardments on the planet, the citizens of Canaria gathered together on the streets of several cities and settlements all across the planet to show their indignation against the ruthless Corsair ground forces imposing the Martial Law and curfew.

More than 50 thousand people gathered at Gran Canaria capital city downtown to protest against the imposed Martial Law and to demand the Corsair forces to leave the planet. The stubborn Corsairs tried to end the protest using gas and smoke bombs and even hand guns.

Several rioters were captured by the Corsairs and also several troopers were injured in the action. One woman died with a gunshot to the chest.

Dead woman is carried away by the Corsair forces.

Protest leaders say that the riots will continue on a daily basis until the bombardment stops, all fighting in Omega 49 system ends, and all Corsair military ground forces leave the planet.
