The Lance and the Raiders were meeting peacefully in Baffin -- a no fire zone as far as we are all concerned -- to discuss in safety a business agreement.
None of the Lancieres nor any of the Raiders threatened the Junker. We merely asked the Junker to not delay in his or her passage through the space we were using for our meeting. The independent, who tagged along for fun, was told to calm down and not accost the Junker further. He complied.
I have my own suspicions about the Junker flying through Baffin to Shasta conveniently past the meeting with an empty cargo hold, but I will keep them to myself.
We kept it peaceful.

Baffin is a calm place and it should be kept that way.
If you plan to gather your forces for a meeting
its the best to stay away from general fly routes and stations.
Also if you organise a meeting on our doorstep
it would be nice to inform the locals too.
Holding a meeting in Baffin under the current circumstances
is very troubling and hearing from a third party
that he was "threatened" or just told to hurry
is quite unpleasant for both of us.
And its getting even worse that the mentioned gang was an outcast one.
We had problems with independent outcast captains and pilots so forgive us
but we won't let such thing happen again! And with your 'civil' war ongoing
we are very cautious.

but next time you plan things like this one, inform us first.

What my fellow pope means, is that if you want to hold meetings with outcasts during this troubled time, do so away from all stations and transit routes. And informing us would be very appropriate as well.
The popes are waiting for the lance to respond before we decide on any resulting actions.
