I have a soft spot for the BH Core's BS. It was the first BS I flew back when it was still a Star War's import. I love the current model, the faction's background story and the operational ZoI. I'm a Lonlicron's guy, through and through.

But here's the question I've brought up before: Why is it inconceivable for the Mako to have a medium BS powercore?

Primary opponents are Nomads (Marduk) and the Order (Osiris). The Marduk is Cthulu on steroids, but the Osiris is only slightly superior to the Mako overall.

To level the playing field, the Osiris could get a medium BS powercore buff as well (they have those arguably OP Liberty Dreadnaughts to face as well). They would still have a "light BS" option with the Geb, which, as a light carrier, has a light BS powercore but a cruiser shield.

Secondary opponents form the Lonlicron and Lolmega Rogues' Gallery: Corsairs, Outcasts and the Red Hessians. The Corsairs have access to heavy and light BSes, the Outcast have access to heavy and medium BSes and the Red Hessians have a rather lethal medium BS.

According to lore, Core is bent on accumulating wealth, power and Nomad technology. If that's so, it's not reflected accurately in it's BS.

Power cores can't be changed. Its actually a separate piece of equipment from the ship, so editing the power core itself also changes the Osiris, Togo, and so on and so forth.

Changing WHICH powercore the ship uses requires the admin team manually changing all of them on the server, which isn't realistic for... obvious reasons.

Always thought the Mako should get some better stats, though admittedly I haven't checked the .87 ones yet.

Honestly i think the balance is good with the mako. But thats me.. What you State durandal is not true. If devs would change the powercore On the ships it Will be auto adjusted by the dsam (disco account manager). So admins would have to do 0.

Honestly didn't know that, learn something new every day.

NO EXCUSES NOW LOL. Wait I mean can the Wraith get a proper core now instead of being able to fire all day?

I don't write code and so it seems odd that one BS powercore type for a given BS is so tightly intertwined with other BS powercores. Funky.

It was carried over from vanilla. Anyway I've never heard of DSAM changing powercores before and its kinda evident that Discovery didn't know about it. If this is true could you post a how to or something somewhere Duv? Because right now if a ship's powercore gets changed everyone on the server has to rebuy it or they have to be changed one by one via admin, neither of which are realistic.

I don't have a suggestion for the other stats. They're ok. But if you take into consideration Core lore and the Mako's working enviroment, it seems underpowered.

If a faction is going to invest time and resources into a BS, you'd think that they'd go the optimal route. It's not a huge leap from light to medium.

Geb - allthrough balance broken at this point as always - is bigger than Osiris and only used battleship shields at any point into the mod. My five cents.

I retested the Geb last night and found out it could equip a BS shield. Since the default shield is a cruiser shield, that misled me a bit. Maybe is needs to lose 2-3 light hardpoints, not really sure. But it currently is capable of producing a withering barrage of AA for a ship of its size.

And for the record, I'm happy for the Order that the Geb is a BS now, but in its current manifestation it's a tad on the OP side.

I'm all for buffing the Mako, Osiris and possibly the Geb up to a medium BS, with corresponding movement stats and additional hardpoints.

Geb is not OP, in fact it is broken: it has huge blindspot as it is unable to fire at snubs while they attack from above. Caps attacking from below or rear will be invulnerable from primaries - they simply dont shoot there due to arcs. It always was able to equip battleship shields and now it has been upgraded up to rest battleship stats while at it.
