Barrier Gate, Purple Light District, Ascension Nightclub and Bar

Situated on the lowest levels of the Barrier Gate, lies the Purple Light District, only recently purchased and refurbished by the Samarran Raiders leadership. Previously owned by an eccentric gambling mogul, who perished in a suspicious accident during his last pleasure trip on Curacao.

Mostly vacant shops, brothels and the hangar chamber are spread throughout the district, lights out, silent and only ocassionaly visited by workers encharged with cleaning and renovating.

On the far side of the district, a single large entrance decorated with blue neon lights is sticking out from the rest of the vacant and inactive structures. While approaching the entrance, loud electronic music is heard from the inside, and above the door stands the neon sign that clearly says:

"Ascension Nightclub and Bar, Grand Opening"

Bassam stood in front of the night club door, clearly puzzled by this new establishment, situated where his office space was supposed to be located.

"I am going to regret this" - he mumbled silently, and started walking through the entrance, down the hallway.

The hallway was lit up by blue and purple lights and at the end, at the second open door stood two large men, who looked very much like bouncers. He walked down towards them, nearly passing them, when suddenly one of them blocked his way with his massive arm.

"Oi, hand over your weapons first." - spoke the large boulder of a man.

Bassam first looked at the arm in front of him, then straight to the bouncers eyes, bearing a painful and semi surprised grin, silently contemplating which of his bones he should break first. He opened his mouth to speak, but was swiftly interrupted by a histerical voice from inside.

"Hey, hey you, ape-man! What are you doing?" - a colorfully dressed man was approaching them from the inside, waving his hands in a flamboyant manner - "Don't you know who that is, rockhead? I should have you both fired!"

Bassam sighed as the bouncer moved his hand and took a submissive position, visibly shamed. He shook his head as he abandoned every last hope of potentially breaking the bouncers arm and faced the colorful figure on the inside.

"Marius, care to explain what this is?" - he looked around the night club, and then back at Marius.

"It's a night club and bar" - Marius said with a submissive yet enthusiastic voice.

Bassam covered his face with his palm - "I can see that. But what is it doing here. Right here. In my office space. Where is my office space?"

"Well, uhh, Lord Nomak said we should open the night club first, I didn't mean to--" - Marius explained with a hint of panic in his voice.

Bassam sighed again and rolled his eyes - "He did, did he." - he walked around - "Well, at least it will be a small source of revenue if nothing else..."

"That's what he said" - Marius exclaimed while pointing Bassam to a lounge sofa in the corner.

"But how come--" - he tried to speak but was interrupted by two women, silently taking a seat on his left and right. He looked at them and then back at Marius - "Why are these sitting next to me?"

"Well, Lord Nomak said you should always have them as escorts, tending to your needs here" - Marius winked at Bassam while grinning.

"Why must he torture me this way..." - Bassam whispered.

"Sorry, didn't quite catch that?" - Marius leaned in closer.

"Marius." - Bassam said calmly while smiling, looking at Marius' happy expression - "Get out of my face." - he said with the same calm voice, looking at Marius' expression turn blank, before he finally bowed and returned to the bar stand.

Bassam placed his elbows on the table in front of him, and stuck his face between his palms, hoping to recollect his temper. The escorts started giving him a massage and he turned around to look at them, before starting to speak through his teeth.

"If you're not out of here in ten seconds, I'll squeeze you into small barrels and launch out of the airlock" - he looked at them, as their expressions turned blank, then started counting - "One...Two...Three..." - the escorts quickly stood up and ran away, both in different directions.

"Finally some peace?" - he thought while he picked up an unmarked bottle in front of him, and started pouring it into his glass.
