Greetings.

I would simply ask admins or developers for what sum of money they can model me a ship that I can use in game ?

Something like unique or ships only granted by admins.

Thank You.

Its not like that, how things go for submissions such as a 'ship only you can have' consists of Roleplay content you generate in-game. The only possible method you could go through with a ship of your own to be included in the Official Discovery RP 24/7 server, is to get a 'Special Roleplay' acceptance for it.

Create a story, work on it for a year or so, and submit it. I don't think actually paying them (Other than the Credits fee for submitting a special roleplay) would get you anywhere.

So if I understand it right I need to find some ship that I would like to be made, and create (make up) story how that ship come to be ?

If this gets approved I need to find someone who will model it ?

And as character do I need to have the story as well as it will be bound to that ship or it is not important ?

Thanks.

I don't see why this would be an issue. Money goes to the mods and devs or the server operators, the guy gets an unique ship to fly and be proud of ingame. If we had Zappie get his Tundra, Jinx get his Persie and such, I cannot see why you cannot pay for an unique ship, as long as it remains balanced.

Moved to a more appropriate subforum.

I don't think it's our policy to accept real-world money in exchange for private or unique mod content. Furthermore, it is still extremely unlikely that we would go out of our way to create unique ships, given how little use it would receive relative to the effort required to make a decent-quality model.

If you wish to contribute money towards the running of the server, you are welcome to do so here.

Well, I do not have any intent to endanger balance in any way, thus I would not ask for something unacceptable.

As U have said, it takes many man hours to develop a good quality model, and to get to operational stage ?

In regards to your statement that U do not take money to give people unique items, I do not see a problem except time and effort that will be implemented in to this project, In addition, I would like to actively play Disco when it comes out from Test, Mining and raiding alike is things I like to do.

Think of it like this, I as user/customer pay U to run server that all we share, helping U and all who use it, I get unique ship and will most likely use it more than other ships as it is mine and there is no such ship except this.

Some of the sum goes to modeler for work and some to U as provider of service, simpler than that cannot be.

Please talk to me, I would like to hear Ur opinion.

Thanks.

Any arrangements that you may or may not make in private with a ship model maker is your own business. It would not be our place to comment on whatever method of reimbursement you might offer that modeller to create something customised just for you. However, even if you were to then present that model to the Dev team, there is absolutely no guarantee that we would accept the model into the mod as a private ship, or even accept the model into the mod at all if it was of insufficient quality, or was thematically or stylistically inappropriate.

This has been a long-standing policy here, and it is not within my power to make an exception for you (or any other group, individual, or third party). We simply aren't adding unique ships now and in the forseeable future.

From a lead modeler standpoint - we've since 4.85 stopped doing unique ships for individuals or individual factions. There are 5 unique ships that were grandfathered in (Satsume, Tundra, Persephone -which is no longer going to be so unique-, Necrosis and Barge), and two more which have been removed from the game but kept for backwards compatibility (Battlestar and that Star Destroyer).
We've had a few rejections (Hogosha playerfaction specific cruiser, AI battleship come to mind). Unless Cannon overturns this, I don't forsee any exceptions being made for throwing money at it - ingame or otherwise. I certainly won't back this kind of favoritism.

If it is not a ship the average player -can- attain with a bit of work, it has no place in this mod, that's my thought on it. This is a volunteer project, everyone should have equal opportunity to the same pewsticks. If we allow this, we'll end up on the sliding pay-to-win slope. Something I loathe (and would leave this mod over).

If you have a nice idea for a general-use ship that isn't overpowered, and can find someone to model it, we'll consider it for inclusion. Best run the concept by the devs though so you aren't wasting your time. A Freelancer cruiser or battleship for instance... isn't happening.

So U want to tell me all ships are balanced in this game ?

I can tell U right now that they are not !

Why ?

Because in order to be they need to have same HP, shields weapons maneuverability and etc... all ships need to be same by the stats to be perfectly balanced and player skill will determine winner.

That is true balance.

Every time U take Outcast Dreadnought over Legate U are paying to win because it has more HP, more turrets and what not more than Legate.

Same is with all other ships, if some has more guns than other, this is not balanced, if one has more HP than other it is not balance and so on...

And I am asking for some ship like I am asking for your liver, man this is a game and possibility is limited only by engine and dev will and imagination.

And here I as some dumb idiot trying to give some money to U to help in Ur running of this game and server by making U work for money... excuse me for being rude...

AS I was stating in earlier post, I do not seek any superior ship, nor any advantage over any other player, as this is discussed by devs if I can have that may guns, what shields, and who knows what... I only ask for unique ship.

If U want make it useable to others as well if it pasts the tests of devs...

Who knows maybe people would like the design, and the more ships to pick from the better.

Opinions ?

Thanks.

Since we are at ships discussions, why can't we have the intro cinematic cruisers ( or battleships) of the coalition? They look so badazz and very nice shapes, cool engines and eyecandy wapons that stick out of the ship by been longer. Like sins of a solar empire TEC factin ships. Very good looking. Even the fighters looks damn good
