Formed in the dawn of Libertonian life in Sirius, Deep Space Engineering has held a central position of infrastructural development in the sector. The ongoing project of building and maintaining the physical gate/lane network has always been the primary directive of DSE, but it has lead to the emergence of several secondary roles; exploration, mineral extraction and processing, and ship construction also adorn the corporate profile. DSE is fundamental to the influential position of Liberty in Sirius today.
Logistics Department:
Some freight routes consist of hauling Gate/Lane Parts to one of the many construction sites. Deep Space Engineering is also a major factor in the relocating of refugees from Planet Leeds, to Planet Pittsburgh after the Kusarian attack. Subsequent legs are dependent on several factors, but all circuits inevitably end in import of materials or components to Liberty. Deep Space Engineering has recently started shipping scrap metal from Texas, as a clean up effort from the 'Texas incident'. We also supply the war fronts with Rheinland with Military Vehicles to Battleship Concord in the New Hampshire system.
Mining Department:
Non-planetary mining is based primarily in Texas, with a heavy focus on the Grande Negra and Pequena Negra dark matter fields. Other than mining, the only other major responsibility of the Mining Department is prospecting. Miners will be transferred into Pennsylvania to begin a new project Deep Space Engineering is organising, to assist new pilots in the transmission into space life.
Exploration Department:
The DSE Exploration Department is relatively small, consisting mostly of scientists accompanying DSE ships in the field. However, the department also consists of a few scientific vessels each with either specific or broad assignments in deep space. The secondary directive of the SRT Department is to maintain the integrity of all optronic, electronic, and bioneural systems in DSE assets. Therefore in addition to those of scientific and exploratory nature, technicians will be tasked to any of a large variety of postings, including: supporting engineers at construction or maintenance sites, supporting miners in the field, and contract jobs for third parties.
Engineering Department:
Engineers are more or less split into the two major operational areas of gate/lane construction and ship construction. Engineers are also on duty for field repairs.
Security Department:
The security of DSE assets and personel is paramount, hence the singular responsibility of this department. Not only are Security ships attached to most departmental wings and field operations, but Security ships can also be seen throughout the corporate zone of influence patrolling supply routes and standard operational areas, cleaning out threats.

Short Biography: Coming from a wealthy family I've never been one for cocktail parties. Much to the dismay of my parents I started working as a freelance deckhand in my twenties and made it to first mate. Joined the IND about 9 years ago and been a captain for them until they went bust. I was (wrongfully) imprisoned after clipping a son of a high ranked LN officer and after my release I spent some time as a freelance trader rehabilitating or so to speak. I worked for USI as a transport captain and moved on to bigger ventures with IC where I worked my way up to a directors position. After a change of leadership at IC I decided to quit my job at IC to pursue a banking and investment firm. To run cargo is a hobby and enables me to do some work in space while meeting people.

7) Character Biography: Born and raised on Planet Houston, in Texas of course! Nothing says freedom more than Texas! I started with a small freighter in my late teens, and built myself up to the Mastadon currently sitting in Docking Hanger 3. I take my job as a tradesman serious and I always ensure that the goods get to where it needs to go!

5) Have you had any criminal convictions or are you waiting upon sentencing?: Nope, got a warning from my HOA because my hedges got a little unruly last summer. Other than that however, never had trouble with the law.
6) Do you have any medical conditions that may affect your ability to work, or exit a building/vessel in case of an emergency? Also no, had a nasty cold a few months back but nothing major.
7) Character Biography: I was born on Planet Denver, my family was very average, no too rich not too poor. We lived in a suburban community . I went to high school and graduated with average marks, not failing any classes by any mark but never quite the best of the best. I started my first job at the age of 16 as a assistant at a local grocery chain. After a few years of that I went back to school and got a degree in accounting. No I didn't graduate top of my class but my professors often said "Dan, you might not be the best at what you do, but you know what your doing and do it well enough." some might take that as an insult, but I took it as a complement. After that, I applied for job working at a local subsidiary of DSE as their accountant for the next 25 years. Apparently, that got noticed and I was told to consider going up to DSE's main space franchise. It took convincing, I never have been one to shoot for the stars admittedly, but with a little coaxing from my wife and two kids I decided it was time to do something different. I took a space traveling course online and through Interspace Commerce's flight training program got the practice time needed. After two months of waiting I finally got my Trade Ship Captain's license.

7) Character Biography: Born 'n raised in Texas on planet Houston to a middle-class family. My childhood wasn't very exciting Not much of significance happened. Both of my parents are well and alive and overall, I had a comfortable upbringing. Was always an errand boy, starting with helping out my parents, ending up working as a captain of an enormous freight vessel. The very first company that accepted me was the Interspace Commerce, ended up working fourteen years for the lot.

7) Character Biography: My parents are from Bretonia, from New London specifically. I grew up in Cambridge and I had a good education. I was working as an independent sales consultant in Cambridge until I found it quite boring. I then moved to Liberty. For 10 years, I've worked as an independent trader for Interspace Commerce, doing aluminum ore runs from Munich to Nottingham. Then, that job became lonely and tedious. So I quit.
