Well now, let's go over this...

Hyena - You ever heard the expression "You couldn't hit the broad side of a barn"? Well, the Hyena is bigger than the broad side of said barn. It has 3 guns, is slow as a slug slitherin' through syrup in the dead cold of January, and is slow.

Phantom - This LF is a joke. The Wrath (Rheinland VHF) is better in every way. This handles like a VHF with the firepower of an LF, and when someone's VHF is faster than their LF, there are problems.

Griffin - Same bit as above; I hear the Eagle is faster than this.

Legionnaire Mk II - I honestly forget it, but whatever. All I know is that the Corsair factions won't even touch it, and since they touch the Titan this must suck somethin' fierce.

Suggestions for boosts are welcome.

THe Corsair one is the Legionarire I think....

And it blows, has a huge hitbox, crappy agility, and poopy weapons.

Boosting light fighters that suck

1) Look at the light fighter.
2) Look at the HF.
3) Look at the VHF.
4) Look at the ship's hitboxes.
5) Adjust stats in armor, powerplant and agility in such a way that the smallest is the fastest and weakest, the biggest the slowest and strongest and the middle child somewhere in between.
6) Now rebalance them again around the weapons of each faction.
7) Now rebalance them again around the Lib, which is uber.
8) Nerf the lib.

Toronto, yer fired.:DEh, well my 2 cents on the Hyena is that for the lack of a fourth gun it should have a torp slot and a rebalanced powerplant that could fire a Razor (if it can't already). Nothing you can do about the huge sides...

The Phantom is easy, nerf the Wrath into the ground then boost the Phantom, that should even things out *braces for RM air strike*

The Griffin... not sure, never flown it. Same goes for the Legionairre Mk II. Any thoughts?

The Griffon is just a slightly smaller, much weaker and slower version of the Eagle.

If you made it very very fast it would be rather large for a LF, but at least worth flying.

A LF that handles worse than its VHF counterpart isn't worth much.

That seems to be the story with most of the 'MK2" LFs. They need a good rebalencing in the next release.
I say
Keep the 7 - 9 wep class.
drop the armor a bit
increase speed/agility (so what if it can out run a HF or a VHF, that is why it is a LF)

They are LIGHT fighters, designed for speed and agility. good for recon crappy for fighting caps. can hold their own against HFs and with a good pilot a VHF.

Just my thoughts.

Always good to have 20 threads about the same thing...so I use copy + paste with some changes

The ones that need changes:

Arwing - apart from the obvious problems, its hitbox is not all that great

Decurion - turning increase (to scimitair level) + maybe HF powerplant or extra armor

Griffin - turning increase, to some 1.45

Hyena - turning increase to some 1.4, forward firing turret

Liberator - turning decrease ~1.4 , it's tiny and extremely agile, should be moved closer to Wyrm

Loki - better hitbox (smaller and with wings) - AoM is doing it I believe

Phantom - turning increase ~1.4

Sea Serpent - turning increase to ~1.42

Slipstream - proper hitbox

While we're hitting ctrl c ctrl v, what are your thoughts on some of the naturally bigger LFs (such as the Griffin) receiving torp slots?

It's an attribute that served the rather large LF the Loki well.
