Not sure if anyone's done this before but...
What if I used a dice to decide the fate of the victim?
e.g:
Roll a...
1 - Victim can leave unscathed
2 - Victim must pay to escape unscathed
3 - Victim is brutally murdered
4 - Victim must fill me up with their cargo
5 - Victim can pay a discounted fee to escape unscathed
6 - Victim can leave unscathed
Is this a good idea? Is it fair? Am I going to get brutally murdered for thinking of an idea?
This signature has absolutely nothing to do with Disco. But it's the best thing that I could draw.
A rather overused piracy thing, actually.
Just like demanding to barrel roll.
Or to tell a joke.
There are not many ways you can bring innovation to piracy and the whole dice thing was overused back in 84 already, once dice was implemented.

PSA: If you have been having stutter/FPS lag on Disco where it does not run as smoothly as other games, please look at the fix here: https://discoverygc.com/forums/showthrea...pid2306502

Yeah unfortunately Option 3 is a rule-breaker. This isn't "No country for old men" where Chigurh decides to kill or leave the victim alive upon a heads or tails toss.
Otherwise I also thought of the idea. It's so simple it's just awesome. You demand the victim to toss a coin. If it's head he dies. If it's tails he may leave. But unfortunately it's just not feasible rule-wise against transports. You must make a feasible demand. If he complies he must be let to go.
The other options can be used however. I'm not sure too many would notice the above mentioned overuse. 4.84 was soooo long agoooo...
Here it is: you demand for e.g. 5 million, and a coin toss. Victim wins: half demans/he can leave without paying. Victim loses: double demand. Or you multiply it up so much he will chose to run and you can kill him.
Also, gambled as well. On my transport carrying ore, Veygaar stopped me and pulled a "heads or tails" using /coin, if I guess correctly I leave unscathed, if I guess wrong, drop all cargo or dai.
