So that is my question, "How do you remove your HUD from screen shots?"

I have seen people submit screen shots to the screen shot contest thread before, and some people said they used a certain program to make the HUD "transparent," or "invisible."

I'm trying to get rid of the HUD on one of my screen shots using the crappy paint program that comes with the PC, but it's taking a very long time...

So can someone provide a link to a program that will let me do all this? If photoshop can do this, then can someone provide the files for download? I don't want to have to sign up and give out my email address and name just to download something..

Also press default key backspace to minimize the HUD so you have to crop less.

You won't be able to get photoshop legally without paying. And it costs alot. There are obviously ways to get it illegaly but best not to go into it...

Try GIMP for a free photo editting program. It's almost definately got the crop tool in it, so give it a go.

Okay, so I have paint.net installed now, but how do I make the HUD go away without cropping?
