For instance...Rheinland Cruiser, 260k armor with 11 turrets. More evergy supply than any other cruisers. This is absolutely the best cruiser.
Then look at the Corsair cruiser, 225k armor with 12 turrets. But only 10 of em can shoot forward, and about 5 can shoot backwards and other directions. It turns even slower than a battlecruiser. It is a weak cruiser and it costs the same credits as a Rheinlanc cruiser.
Then look at the Outcasts cruiser, 195k armor with 12 turrets. It turns really fast. ALL TURRETS can shoot forward and backward. How it is fair?
Yes the cruisers need a rebalance but you didn't mention the most unbalanced one out there. The Huntress. I think its the largest cruiser and most, if not all, of its turrets can only shoot forward. Also I think it turns even worse than the corsair cruiser.
I'm not sure which cruiser is the best since i don't fly them much but i think the outcast one is pretty good since it turns well and is a small target since it is very flat.

Quote:Of course you forgot entirely to think about the maneuverability and agility of each Cruiser....
The OC dessie is quite slim and manueverable for the stunts it can pull off. It's no mystery why every "powerplayer" on the server goes out to get one sooner or later.
The problem with most cruisers is that they can only do something against a force that isn't prepared for them, and even then it's limited. From my experience they are far from a damage sponge but their firepower isn't that big either so they can't really win against ships bigger than themselves, and ships smaller than themselves (like GBs, nevermind bombers and fighters) can give a problem also if the pilots know what they are doing and the cruiser doesn't know how to use it's missiles (not many people do) or doesn't have missiles mounted at all.
Aaah the OC dessie... It is strange how it can fire all it's turrets in all directions... a bit unbalancing... For some reason I like ships that have weaknesses so you need a good strategy to win. For example Corsair Cruiser, you get behind it, and you have won... In a gunboat atleast, You cannot outmanouver an Outcast Destroyer. And it's not fair really... Getting blasted by all turrets at all angles.
The cruiser can just sit, and blast at you, if you're in a leaser ship, you have very little to do, but to try to out range the damn thing... Working hard to win, while your opponent in some cruisers doesn't have to....
//a bit of a rant, fighting outcast cruisers on regular basis, made me well aweare how diffrent they are to other cruisers, so to say noticable diffrent.

ah, the outcast cruises blind spot is its bottom, isn t it? - i thought all its turrets are mounted on its top - and it cannot fire straight downwards.... but i might be wrong.
