Reporting in from yesterday's activities of ODF. There are three notable encounters, besides unruly miners. It outright felt as if they do not trust us or perhaps they treat us as outright enemies. This may be detrimential to our effectiveness as Defense Force. They will be vulnerable to pirates if they keep refusing to co-operate with our people. Perhaps they will learn the hard way.
Samura transport "Nariko", Akegata class battle transport was encountered in Omega 7 system. Said pilot in question was questioned concerning his activity and pirate encounters thorough Kusari. According to Samura, they are supplying Kruger modular base "Reutlingen" with alloys all the way from Kusari. In return they pick up silver stored onboard to sell it somewhere in their home territory. Due to reported activity of supposed pirates in Frankfurt, I lend escort until Sigma 13 jump gate. Transport passed border safely and with no incident.
Yesterday's patrol, to my knowledge was first real fire event for ODF. As I was returning to base after escorting Samura trader, I spotted ant intercepted Heimdall class gunboat "Theodor Heuss" on trade lane from Dortmund to Bonn. As the vessel in question opened fire, I requested assistance to finish off this terrorist. Pilot Landau arrived in time to lend firepower before Hessian was able to escape into safety of Kreuzberg. In my opinnion we should keep an eye on those Junkers.
Second kill happened close to our headquarters in Stuttgart. As I was field testing newly aquired Waran class bomber, my scanners picked up Storm class gunboat "Melfina" which immediately withdrawned as I begun pursuit. Szombathy being on my wing this time, gunboat was inevitably destroyed.

Pilot has been known to eject successfully and SAR has been sent for automatic disaster beacon deployed during Wraith's sudden decompression.
Korporal Stahlfaust, flight leader and commanding officer after Haputmann's unexplained loss failed to return. Ship was last seen dropping off the grid after jumping through Stuttgart-Koeln jumpgate. Impossible to pinpoint current location due to shut down localization device. Branded M.I.A. until further notice.

Alright this is my first report, I hope it looks pleasant to the HQ...
Today on patrol we were scouting Omega-11, indeed we found stuff... first a Hessian, who think himself superior to us, then the Korporal Stahlfaust dealed with him properly and showed him he shouldn't mess with us at all.
We got orders from Hauptmann Szombathy to go back to Stuttgart... then we found another Hessian by the name "Klon" this one was an Ace, tho... and with the current Ion storms going, we didn't wanted to risk our lifes for this one.
Later at Omega-7 patrol... we found nothing but a few traders, and we let ourselves hear to them... so more will know about us. But going back to Stuttgart, we found a patrol of Das Rheinland Militar, they were questioning us about who we were and all that... Hauptmann ordered me to go take a beer and keep em' cold at Karlsruhe, while they talk them over... I don't know what exactly happened, but it seems there was conflict with the [RM] hope it gets solved soon... fighting our brothers... hmph....
anyway... thats what happened today, here is a small roster of today's patrol, and a screen I took when I was targeting "Klon".

This report will be rather short. This day has been to quiet if you ask me. For most of our patrol we had nothing to report other than an odd freelancer that was not breaking law or couple of Rheinland shippers with Bretonian ore in their cargo holds.
Now for the more interesting part. I have caught glimpse at something resembling a capital ship, taking shelter at Freidstadt station in Omega 7. I could do nothing else other than report this up chain of command, which I do. Top brass will decide how to use this evidence effectively. It is not much as I had little time to spare.
Following it, we received orders to ambush artifact smuggler in southern regions of Omega 7. Intelligence failed here, as target moved not from Omega 5 direction but Omega 9. Nevertheless, we intercepted transport as soon news hit us. Unfortunately, it was empty but solely on basis of ship's manufacturer, we could close him down as Corsair sympathizer or worse, mercenary. We would've done so if he did not opened fire. He was too jumpy and trigger happy for his own good, which ended in ship's eventual destruction. After securing site, we retreated to Battleship Schwerin for repairs.
I am Gilbert Müller of the secondary fleet, Rheinland Military. I am hereby to contact you for the recruitment process. Well, with respect, I put forward my name to be part of the Omega Defence Flotilla centered around the protection of Omegas.
I was informed about the flotilla by Herr Lars Von Szombathy and I am very much obliged that he did so. Being a secondary pilot for over 10 months, with no other significant role other than random patrol is quite monotonous as it sounds. Joining the Omega defense will serve as a sole purpose for me.
To provide a brief knowledge about myself, I must say that I was trained at the annual pilot training camp by the Rheinland military along with the Polizei, at Battleship Westfalen. I had successfully passed the camp. For the next 12 months, I remained as an active simulator trainer crew for the new entrants.
After that year, I was entitled to remain in the secondary fleet for another year which I am near about to complete but as said, Solo patrolling is not my kind as I am more of an extrovert.
After hearing such a fine proposal, I believed I could be one among you to stand along with others to serve our fatherland.

"This is Corporal Hans Joachim, reporting from Battleship Schwerin, Omega 7 system.Today I was ordered to be Captain von Szombati’s wingman. I reached the Captain at the Karlsruhe, Stuttgart system. Captain von Szombati proceeded with mission assigned. First objective was: anti-smuggler patrol in Stuttgart sytem. Nothing was to be reported. Objective was completed. Second objective was patrol in Omega 7 system. 11 minutes after system entrance, Contact was made with a cruiser supported Corsair snubs squad. Bomber M14 Preatorian “CorsairShadow” open the hostilities despite several attempts to enter contact with said squad. Fight efficiency was lowered due to the application of the Semi-Defensive Attack doctrine as the Captain von Szombati recommended. To improve the situation, the emergency beacon was switched on. Today a great victory has been achieved in the name of our flotilla. I will get to that later, as I seek to recall the day chronologically.
At the start of the patrol, we have discovered an Ageira~ transport bringing Gate & Lane Parts towards Solarius Station in Omega-11. We offered the ship an escort towards the capital and it eventually reached a safe haven. The embargo has not been violated, according to our information.
Afterwards we encountered a junker salvager. Said Junker however proceeded to insult law enforcement and run away from our inspection, and consequently demanded a fine of 5 million credits, after another insult raised to 6 million. The captain sadly did not accept the jurisdiction of Rheinland law enforcement and refused to pay the fine, resulting in quick destruction of the vessel.

Nearing the end of our patrol, we patrolled along the lanes in Omega-7. Several corsair fighters were waiting for their prey to arrive. They were probably not expecting arrival, but probably did not mind nonetheless in the beginning. We destroyed all of their fighters without casualties. After several dozen minutes of combat, my abilities were rather restricted due to exhaustion caused by lack of sleep, and I retreated to the nearby battleship, leaving the two others of my wing to fight against the remaining two corsair fighters.
Shortly after, both remaining corsair ships were eliminated.
Throughout the whole fight, Herr Szombathy wanted to give us a challenge and kept out of it. Obviously, he would've interfered in case of serious danger for the Republic and its soldiers. The corsairs were, however, not very intimidating.

No a single encounter. Peaceful patrol. And as the figures showed that the criminal activity has lowered in the Omega, so I would have bet on a day on the battleship. But no, instead of that I got a huge alarm on the deck and the captain screaming in my ears to scramble.
