Flying any fancy ships lately?
You know... I do like a pilot in a fast ship. I don't suppose you have one? Racers are kinda cute.

Now now, hotshot, hold on there. You think your fast enough to impress me? Think your the fastest out there and got what it takes?

*giggles*

Neither does Sunny and the AFC.

So why don't you listen up.

The Archangels Fighter Club is proud to announce that in celebration of the opening of our newest chapter in Kepler, the club will be organizing the first ever qualifiers for
RACE-WARS.

Whats Race-Wars?
Its a street race competition of the best racers out there that go head to head for big money, girls, and a chance to show off in the heat of adrenalin.

How do you get in? Let me tell you.

There are three qualifiers to get in. You gotta be in at least two of 'em and hit a good enough place in the standings to get farther in. The best four from the qualifiers get their chance to win big. Oh but don't worry. There will still be money to be won in the qualifiers as well as some girls to win over.

So here's the dirt on the first of the qualifiers.

The first qualifiers will be hosted at Ames Station.
Races will held and done on the lanes.
To add a bit more fun and spice, its gonna be done against traffic.

Bring your fastest ship to the lanes. That means Light Fighters ; unless you figured out how to hit 400 on any other ship and can turn as fast enough. Pimp that ship out too. Show off that ride with some style. You wana impress don't you?

The race will be in the form of a drag race. Straight down the lane against traffic, up to the opposite lane at the end, and right back to Ames.
Allowable tech to use in the race are Counter Measures and Cruise disruptors as well as mines. No guns though. You don't wana get too far ahead of yourself there, buddy.

To keep it real interesting there is no armor permitted in this race event. Watch the lanes and don't get hit huh? Fall asleep and you might not wake up.

Races will start out divided into two groups and then from there it will decrease in rounds of illumination until the final round will be a duel race.

Qualifying entry for the races will be 10 million. 90% of that cash will go to the winner of the event with 10% to the club.

Everyone participating will be also able to bet on the races. You can do this amongst yourselves and in addition the AFC will host the general betting. A minimum of 2 million and a maximum of.... whatever you wish.

There's lots of money to be made.
Lots of races to show off in.
And plenty of people to impress.

Point system (places from the tournament chart. Not each race):

Betting & Money:
- Private betting amongst viewer/audience.
- Betting amongst racers if need to spice things up (by the AFC).
- Money awarded for winner of the races (top of the chart) from the registration money pool. AKA the more participants the better the reward.

A bunch of racers.
Some LPI (2-5) at the end for a special end to the event (click here and starts at 0:15)
Maybe an Admin to make sure it all goes down right. Preferably without any interruptions until the event ends.

Please note (OORP) :

Because there is no armor or guns for the race allowed and since its with LFs, it is REALLY easy to make a ship for this race even if you don't have a ship now. Just do a restart with freelancer or junker and boom you have the minimum requirements (just make sure the level of your ship is correct with the rules of the server).

This event is for RP and for fun after all. Money to be made too from these races.

I bet 10 mill I will qualify,will you take my bet and what are my Odds?

Allow me to explain then.

The 10 million goes towards the final race to see who is the winner of the event. So lets say there are 10 racers. That means the prize pool is 90 million. (10 mill to AFC for hosting) I assume this is fair. If you have an opinion I am open to suggestions gladly.

The 10 mills is done to ensure that there is at least this one bet that the winner will get.

The further bets will be to do with race by race if people choose to. For example there are 4 racers and they bet that they will win and the winner of that race gets the pool of money. All of it and nothing taken from AFC. This is a 1/4 chance right? The chances will be harder at the start of the events with a 1/10 so I would imagine the betting would be smaller for that race of large people.
So to clear up a 1/10 chance I would imagine would be like... lets say for the purpose of simplicity 1 million each person, while a 1/4 chance would be 5 million or even 10 million per person. You can see that the end race will have the greatest possible chance of 1/2.

The races will work in elimination. So if there are 10 racers lets say then they will be slit up into 2 groups. 5 racers for the 1rst race heat. The 4, 3, etc. until the final round with the 2 best racers facing off in the end.
(with this there is the beginning round of 1/5 chance. So even better than 1/10!)

Its been quite hectic the last few weeks for us, I think a race is just what the doctor ordered! Time to have some fun, let out some stress. Looks like my crew will be happy, I'll be racing and they'll have a day off it seems. I've dug out my arrow I had stashed at Barrier Gate Station, so you can count me in! I'll be available to help with any 'administrative' chores you might need help with, and when not racing, can also have my bomber on stand by for some extra security. And of course, I'll have the Argo near by in case the LPI bust us up, and I need to slip out the back!

Just tell Sunny I'll see him in Kepler soon enough.

Does this mean the Light Fighter should have no Guns mounted and no Armor mounted right? Or can the Guns be actually mounted but disabled? Would be no real race ship though better without guns mounted.
