Venator-Class Experimental Artillery Platform

To all Officers and above,

Due to the persistent rumors LP Inc. has decided to release information pertaining to our recent ship testing to those employees of a sufficent rank.

We here at LP Inc. recently tested an experimental ship tagged as [LPI]Garretts.Venator. It was outfitted as a Heavy Artillery Ship and was tested primarily in the New York system.

This Experimental Artillery Platform was equipped with 22 TL-45 "Heavy Mortar" Antimatter Cannons, Advanced Scan Blocking Armor, Capital Armour Upgrade 8 (which boosted its armor to over 6 million),and a Cloak.

The Venator was temporarily given to LP Inc. by the mysterious faction known as the A.D.M.I.N.S. who in return needed some coffee from our beloved Sunbucks. Sergeant Jonas Valent also "loaned" his coffeemaker to the A.D.M.I.N.S.

The results of this experiment were mixed. In some cases this ship performed beyond expectations. Particularly its ability to kill most Capital class vessels with a single salvo. The 22 TL-45 "Heavy Mortar" Antimatter Cannon used produced an amount of firepower unrivaled by any House Warship in Sirius.

However, The Venator performed very poorly against smaller vessels. The lack of any anti-fighter turrets seriously hampered the defensive ability of the vessel. Without the ability to protect itself against these threats the Venator proved itself very vulnerable without a heavy fighter escort.

Though the Venator was a formidable warship it will not be approved for active service.
