After the Order and Edison Trent defeated the Nomads in the Nomad War 801 A.S., the Order realised the seriousnes of the Nomad threat. After getting countless reports of high ranking officers and civilians getting infected by the Nomads all around the Sirius sector, the Order started a long term project which purpose was to prevent Order commanders from getting infected. The project quickly focused on creating an Artificial Intelligence capable of commanding the fleets on the battlefield without the risk of being infected. The project was named "Project Orillion", after the now MIA hero of the Nomad War, Casper Orillion.
The project Orillion was initiated 21st of May 802A.S. and was stationed at the headquarters of the Order, on planet Toledo, in the Omicron Minor system. Dr. Thomas Russel, a 41 year old Libertonian scientist was chosen to lead the project. Because of the lack of rescources and manpower, the project was kept small and only about 100 people were working on it. This way the Order could keep the people who knew about the operation at minimum aswell. The project started of strong, and in the passing 4 years the project made huge leaps forward. However in 806A.S. a part of the High Command became reluctant of the idea of an Artificial Intelligence commanding their fleets, and because of the raising threat of the Nomads and the Core in the Omicrons they had even less resources available, and thus the Orillion's funding was cut and around 80% of the scientist who were working on the project, left.
For the next 12 years, Dr. Russel and what was left of his crew worked on the project day and night. Dr. Russel finding his work somekind of a legacy of his to the mankind, felt almost obsessed by it. The Orillion now lost its funding so Russel and his crew had to fund the project themselves. However, with the little that they had, the team of scientists managed to press on, furiously beleiving that this was the key to defeating the Nomads.
In 818 A.S. the Nomads launched a full scale invasion on the Omicron Minor to destroy the Order once and for all. After told to evacuate, Dr. Russel managed to gather most of the proccess he had made and take them with him off the crumbling Toledo. Even though Russel managed to save the project from being incinerated by the Nomad bombardment, he did not survive the invasion and was killed as he was trying to escape. However his ship remained mostly intact and Operation Orillion's accomplishments were contained in the floating wreck of lifeless metal that was now orbiting the inferno that was once called planet Toledo.

that had escaped the Toledo bombing." - " ... And?" - "There wasn't anyone alive in the ship, but we found this."

Among the documents would be a compact disk with the text "The Infinite-algorithm"written on it with a thick black marker. The Captain would glance through the folder before handing it back to the Lieutentant.
- "What do we do with it, Captain?" - "Report back to the High Command that we've finished our search for survivors and tell them that we've acquired Dr. Russel's research on the project Orillion." - "Yes Captain."
