InRP your character would use his intelligence and avoid the known Pirate, at least one would assume he has some intelligence. Why tempt fate and have the possibility of being pirated? You have already had you Player Interaction. You could have, if you wanted, lengthened the interaction before docking to pick up the TL Parts. Even talked to him whilst under the safety net of Pueblo.
OoRP go down the lane with the possibility of meeting the Xeno and losing your Cargo. This scenario doesn't quite sit right.

I'm not sure how most other traders run, but I set a goal before I start flying I'm gonna make X amount of credits, if I meet that goal and I'm still flying around in my trade ship I'll go out of my way to interact with pirates, after all I've already made my credits for the day who cares what happens now

1) inRP choice to avoid that criminal
2) ooRP choice to possibly have another interaction.
I prefer to play my Characters intelligently and would also like the Pirates to play likewise. To me the Pirate who sits at one spot all day waiting for somebody to come to him is a rather dumb Pirate. As far as i see it interaction with somebody isn't just talking but also out thinking/smarting the opposition. In the same way a Smuggler and a Police can have an interesting interaction in a cat and mouse Game.
So in your scenario I would try and go back the way I wanted to go and see if I can avoid the Xeno. I would also be expecting the Xeno to be trying to guess where I was going and trying to find me again.
I have had some very interesting Cat and Mouse Games both as the Hunter and Hunted.
Hopefully that has answered you question.

Suddenly, I have no idea. But since I usually care about myself more than about others, I think I'd try to avoid pirate.
My selfishness is one of causes why I'm not trading.
Depends purely on how much badly you need that cash, whether you are trading for RP, or making some quick cash to make the ends meet. If you are doing the latter, do proceed with the intention of making profits.
If not, and you have enough cash, trading because you are bored/you need interaction or something on a similar level, go through the same lane. It might be discussed on a more in depth level, but at the end of the day, it comes down to personal preferences.
Sometimes, we might be meaning to get cash for some odd reason, the quick way. The very thought of a pirate makes us go meh....but sometimes, we just grind for the odd pirate or two, for a nice an quick interaction. Its your choice depending on the OORP situation you are put into.
I don't like extended journeys and time spent on it so I just go play something else. inrp my trader is aware of the xeno and decides to wait it out, he figures after a while a patrol will shoo the pirate away and he can resume his trading.

2) Stick to my routine and head to Rheinland, possibly meeting same Xeno who might interact with me differently now. This would be perfect choice for multiplayer game in order to initiate player-player interaction.
OORP Verson
1) Pirate looks at player list, finds you in Kusari moments later, He thinks the goods you originally hauled were really intended for Kusari, and not pueblo. Kills you next meet up anyway.
2)The pilot INRP and OORP must be really stupid. Who would risking their life for few extra credits to "hopefully" avoid Xeno who rather kill than tax you ?
Just stay in the pueblo bar, chat up some npc ladies and drink liberty ale is literlly the best option.
