After the Corporis ambush, one of memory blockades of Singularis, formerly known as simply "The Explorer", was broken, and one of the things he remembered, was his true name. He still didn't remember who "made" him or why, and how he got to Sirius or even WHERE did he come there from, he only remembered now that Sirius was not his origin. Also, after the ambush, he got disappointed in his former ship's poor defense and attacking capabilities, and when he analysed most of the ships that were available for sale in Sirius, he realised, that actually no ship could really provide everything he needed, to be in the same time a powerful ship capable of standing and giving a fight, and on the other hand, being a maneuverable deep space exploration vessel, being a mobile laboratory and a research center, as he still had a mission to collect any valuable information about Sirius sector.
Thus he decided not to buy, but to make his own ship, that would fit all of his needs.
He headed to Omicron Kappa, to the former battlefield of a battle royale that recently happened between the Sentinels and the Consensus, and he slowly started to assemble the ship of his "Dreams", from the remains of other Artificial Intelligence ships that were destroyed there, using one part of knowledge that also came out of his memory, partially unlocked by a broken memory blockade, partially by the knowledge he found in the Enclave...
The power of nanites.
He wasn't infused by them, as by the time, when the battle between Animus and Corporis emerged, he was too low ranked for the ceremony, and even more, only humans were suitable for the ceremony itself, so he made his own nanites. Hours by hours, days by days, in his own hand-made mini-laboratory aboard his temporary gunship, he first designed and programmed first nanites, giving more and more functionality to them, from being able to collectively heat things up or move them, to the ability of generating and discharging impressive amounts of energy. Then he made billions of them, and programmed them to obey him. He sent them out in the Kappa, with a task of collecting the needed undamaged components and repairing the damaged ones. What he couldn't find, like most of the weapons, he would buy elsewhere. For many days nanites fitted, melded and assembled the parts together. And soon, the ship was ready.
He went aboard, inside the chamber in the very center of the vessel. This was the most protected part of the ship, completely shielded from most of the scanners known in Sirius, the control center. He sat in the chair in the center of the chamber, and his faithful nanites started to pull out cables through all of the chamber's walls. When the last cable was plugged in his cybernetic body, that was changed by the same nanites past the last days, he said: *Let it begin.*, and plugged in the data core with Aramis' AI in the slot on the chair's arm. >It's good to finally see you again, Sire.< - sounded his voice throughout the chamber. *Greetings, old friend. Please check the systems of this new ship I built for you.* >You built a ship for me? Oh Creator, I... Right this moment!<
And then the ship started to rumble, loud creaking and clanging sounded for several seconds, then the only sound was the quiet humming of the generator deep within the ship's systems. >Everything seems to be operational, Sire.< *Good. Provide the visual mapping.* >Done.<
Data from all kinds of scanners and cameras flowed into his own sensors, and then he was one with the ship. *Now this*, said Singularis, *is the perfect ship for me.* *And its name will be... Omnisciens.*
