Forum subsection suggestion: Non-English Help Section

Hey.

The idea is simple. Please create a proper subsection for non-english speaking players to post in in their own language. While Discovery Freelancer is and remains an English-Only speaking community, we must accept the fact that as long as we remain a public server without any password, our activity will attract not only roleplayers, but also players who simply wish to play on a populated Freelancer server. Many of them, as you already know, either have a very poor grasp of English, or have none.

While we can argue that we do not need non-english player help, because such players are ''not welcome'' to our enviroment, which needs said English skills, there is no denying that they play, get into trouble and either keep getting into trouble, stay silent ingame and so forth. They are and will be a part of our community.

Please, I ask you to make it easier for yourselves and these players by allowing them to ask help on the forum in their own language, and then allow people with said language to help them. This way we can at least allow these players to integrate themselves into our community to a level, where their presence is not a hindrance to the ingame immersion and overall gameplay.


We are a server based in Europe. We have players from very different countries playing. If they are having trouble, we need to let them receive it regardless what our overall stance against non-english-speaking people is. They are here. They aren't going anywhere. Let them post freely in a specific subsection without being being judged for their poor English in the main.


Perhaps someone can take their time to translate the server rules in a few languages. If they cannot speak the language, at least they can know the rules.

For clarification. I am not asking for a non-english forum section, though that would not hurt at all. I am asking for a non-english HELP SUBFORUM.

Considering the players I've personally dealt with ingame, I suggest especially focusing on languages such as:
Russian
German
Polish
CZ
Baltics (LV/LT/EST)
Spanish
Italian
Ukrainian
Belorussian

Exactly. And it is not helping us in any way, unless we start implementing English tests upon registration to test every single player before allowing them to get ingame.

Seems good to me, will allow more... obvious explanation, and easier to help those who don't know English very well, My only fear that it turns to a Non-English flood.

If moderation is needed, then the offending post can be reported via the report button with a translation attached to it, if necessary. Don't think we need new moderators for this, which is why it should be implemented asap.
