Really..........trying to shoot me for stopping a criminal from escaping really..........
Damn Cruise Disruptors seriously.............as above says, got attacked by rogue, used cruise disruptor to stop him getting away so i could finish him off, hits the rogue and all of a sudden I'm getting attacked for doing the right thing.
Now I know this has been brought up before but seriously is there nothing that can be done about the splash damage that turns your own NPC allies or neutrals into enemies??????
I also know I'm not the only one who gets annoyed with this, especially Naval and police players.

The worst thing it when it actually involves a station ... like what happened with me in Magellan, I accidentaly fired a CD on the station , and not only NPCs but the trade lanes, the station and basically every single "living" thing started shooting me
Especially when you consider the fact of the wonderful ship designs and systems etc that the Dev's have a done such a good job with also adding an entire house and New weaponry etc putting new features in like /conn or cloaking devices or even the fact that i can put my transport next to say Battleship Missouri and launch a full volley at it without consequence yet we can't get rid of a little splash damage from a CD??
Don't get me wrong I'm not saying anything bad about anyone I'm just meaning considering all the wonderful things that can be done with this mod via the Dev's, I'm no expert but surely they could stop this..................
Turn off the switch in the NPC's heads that makes them think a tiny little pencil-sized missile that does nothing more than lodge itself in an engine's exhaust port for a few seconds, as a credible threat to their, and everyone nearby's wellbeing.
PLEASE

If you shoot regular guns at the allied/neutral NPCs, they warn you first, and then they shoot you after a certain amount of damage is dished out to them (this also applies to NPC bases if I'm right). A single CD surely can't do that much damage. Is it possible to alter this so the damage of the CD is taken into account, not the fact that the CD did hit the NPC/base?
I'm not sure how applicable this is to your problem but if you have full green rep with the faction, then even missiles won't turn the stations or NPCs hostile.
For that reason I usually rep my police chars to full green with the house military and the corporations.
You should still be careful around player stations.

Yes, till somewhere around 75% of friendly rep the NPCs wont hurt you even if you kill them. Not sure about stations with the same rep though.
