Trans Sirius Corps getting Border worlds tech. Thoughts? Seeing as they get No Lawful Tech I personally see no problems. Though peoples opinions may differ.

I like the idea. Corporations, especially Trans-Sirius ones, operate in the Border Worlds and it would make sense for them to have access to the Border Worlds market.

Especially since Synth Foods doesn't get a lawful branch and doesn't get Border Worlds shipline either, meaning we're up a creek without a paddle when it comes to security ships.

Or maybe just merge Borderworlds with Sirian Civilian or Generic?

))

Just my 2 cents.

Borderworlds tech is basically just ships that are sold on freeport markets for anyone that can use them.

Civilians have access to them, so why don't corps?

BW tech was stereotypically believed to be built and utilised primarily by Outcasts. That's what it looked like in vanilla lore, anyway.

It became apparent that this wasn't the case when corporations like IMG and BHG gained access to it. I see no problem really, it might as well be civilian.

Off topic: i think that's exactly how it was supposed to be in an earlier version of the game. And the corsairs should have had the rogue ships. Look at the ship names in the game files. Bhg ships and current corsair ships even have a different cmp type.

Make BW, Sirius Civilian, all house civilian including Gallia available at 100% for every single faction and remove the devil that is ship-based technerf.

Edit: Or house civilian on 90% for factions that didn't have it before, fine. But no faction should have less than that on open market technology.

Don't you think the BW thing has to do with folks not wanting to see 7 gun 2.0 refire sabres - especially when these can only appear on the lawful side of the fence?

Also as a side note, I think corps have access to way(!) too much technology as it is already.

Good luck with having no core all the time.
