The NPCs on the non-vanilla bases are currently sharing names from Vanilla Bases. Is this acceptable fellow Junkers - I say not! Well I plan to put an end to this cloning of names & thought Id throw this out to the Junker community at large. We currently have 5 cases of this which I have detailed below.
Trafalgars NPCs have been copied onto Bornholm Depot
Rochesters NPCs have been copied onto Arecibo Base & Vieques Shipyard
Beaumonts NPCs have been copied onto Cubebra Smelter & Carolina Outpost.
I have been speaking to Seth who said updating the NPC info is easy, but with looming deadlines well need to make some decisions pretty snappy. Now as Im based at Trafalgar Im quite happy with my NPC names, so I recon that Junkers who have an affinity to any of the 5 given stations should offer up some NPC name changes of their own & well try to get them in the 4.85. Maybe some retired notable characters should be added to Disco Junker history or maybe a family member up at the Smelter.
I had another idea on this sousing Bornholm as an example youll see that they have inherited Trafalgars Outcast & Corsair fixers, but understandably lost the Gaian & Molly pairing. If we can remove an NPC from a base grouping, I dont see why we cannot add an NPC, so perhaps a Red Hessian or Zoner NPC wouldnt go amiss on the station. This could be tweaked to fit our local RP.

I've only reviewed this from a Junker perspective, but I'm guessing your on the button. It never bothered me until I visited every Junker site and saw the duplications, but now it gently gnaws at me & in my small way I'm just trying to enrich the game experience on Disco.
Do you want a list of names we want? I would like to change some names on the Culebra Smelter (of course) and Rochester but I am not sure what you want here.
What I am proposing is to find new names for the duplicates listed below. Why is Ian Watson (for example) at Rochester, Arecibo Base & Vieques Shipyard all at the same time. Don't make sense & is bad RP. So at your Smelter I think it would be great to see 11 replacement names and with your affinity to this base I'm happy to go along with your name change suggestions. As Bornholm proves we can remove inappropriate NPCs, so perhaps you might like to remove a few NPCs yourself. Have fun :)

Now listen up Junkers - we can also add rumours so if we have say a Harvester NPC, he can have appropriate stories for a robot such as how he can't stop lusting over the toaster or H-179 could moan on about how much he dislikes Cardi. Maybe Harvester missions - or am I getting ahead of myself?:unsure:We could also swap a male Junker or 2 for a female Junker, because right now we are entirely male with our Junker NPCs. Add a smuggler & stuff them in a suit & they might have some scripted hints.
yes, it is possible to change an NPC's appeareance. Turn it into a Robot etc. You'll see this in the new mod.
So yes, if you could give me a list of the new names, and which bases, I reckon I could get that changed in time for 4.85.

Yeah I agree Taffic. More women definately. I think a few robots would be good and a rumour or news about the deal with the harvesters would be cool.
Right, changing from Men to women requires a hell of a lot more work, so, I am willing to do it, but I need that list ASAP.
If you can get it to me by tomorrow, I'll do my best.
And Payment? I'm 200 mill in debt at the moment, if the junkers want to pay me for it, I'm not going to say no:P. However, I am happy to do this for free, to make the game better for everyone.
