There is a freelancer software out there somewhere that reads a ship file and shows you the outline / poly of the ship, anyone know or remember the software i'm talking about?

There is Account Manager, Launchpad (between those i suggest launchpad), FLCompanion and FLstat

You are probably looking for HardCMP.

HardCMP does that if all you want to do is view the model, although not terribly well.
