Hi my friend has recently start playing freelancer discovery again and he has an issue with updating the game to update 3. He has tried running it by running the Discovery Freelancer.exe and then it starts the update but stops every time at the exact same place and gives an error, he has also tried running the DSupdate.exe but the same thing happens. He later on also tried download the update manually and extracting the zip folder into his discovery documents but it doesn't seem to be updated, still wants to run the update when we launch the game and then fails again as well. We have also tried uninstalling Freelancer through windows and Discovery Freelancer v4.87 from its folder uninstall.exe. Reinstalled everything and it did the exact same thing.
any help on how to fix this would be appreciated ! We really want to play as soon as possible

Nope, they just started playing today and if you download Discovery 4.87 or even 4.877 it is applying a small patch or a larger, depends on which one of both you've downloaded.
