Seems like I should be fine as long I'm not reinstalling my OS. I'll write down my ID anyways, I just wanted to know if ANY other files need be backed up.
as far as i know, the ID is all you need (well, that and the disco mod and such, but you can re-download those).
You put the ID into FLAM and it will bring up your account in-game, so you wont lose your characters.
At least I hope it works that way, because otherwise I'm pretty screwed... I still havent reinstalled freelancer yet after doing my system recovery. Downloading and installing world of warcraft patches might take a few days at this rate.
Ugh! I restore backups with FLMM, it restores most of them not all. I delete all the files in my Freelancer folder, throw the clean original Vanilla files in from a back up folder I have. Then I reactivate Disco.
Nothing, still no Servers showing up.
Okay, I'll install the plain work-around patch that worked for me all this time on Disco (and FLU before that).
Still nothing!
I don't know what the hell to do, this is freaking stupid. I play earlier today, I log off. NOTHING HAPPENED. All the sudden I have no servers.
The problem is solved for now. I didn't realize there was a shortcut for Disco exclusively included with the mod that gives you the Disco server on the MP list and the Disco server only.
If I ever want to play another mod, I'm still screwed, but hopefully I just won't.
dont forget you can always edit the target line for your destop icon so discovery server is always there
